This is an upscale restaurant for the island - a little expensive but worth every penny. The service is attentive and the chef has prepared a very creative menu. On our last visit several at our table ordered the salmon and thought it was wonderful. Others ordered the scallops and they were fabulous. The atmosphere is clean, modern with a nice view of the pond. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely evening out on the Vineyard. Reservations are recommended.

With the addition of DeSilva, formerly fromLambert's Cove, now in the kitchen, this may now be the best all-around restaurant on the island. The food is now consistently well prepared. The seasonings are correct. The preparations are creative and diverse. Managment is thoughtful and accomodating. And service is increasingly refined. With one of the only, if not the only, water view of any fine dining restaurants on the island, the decor and ambiance are great for entertaining: everything works. Not since Sam's and Warriner's in the eighties has there be a place as nice as this to relax with family and friends and good food.

We were looking forward to another dinner here as last year we had a fantastic lunch and dinner here. We managed to sneak in for dinner on Saturday night. I ordered Swordfish with Couscous and roasted vegetables. My husband ordered the NY strip steak. Our appetizers were Sweetwater Farm Oysters and mine an Arugula Salad. Both were good. My husband's steak was very good although to have it served over French Fries was less than stellar. There were so many of them and they were cold and slightly overcooked. My swordfish was cooked well but the couscous and the roasted vegetables were cold and very bland. Service was slow but I can excuse that due to an extremely busy night in the Vineyard. What is usually a great place to have dinner maybe just had an off night. We don't mind spending Vineyard dollars for dinner but we want to walk away completely "wowed". This was not one of those meals.

loved the food... if you are looking for an excellent restaurant walking distance from Downtown (We stayed at the 1720 House which was very close by) this restaurant is soooo good.

This is an excellent high end (read expensive) restaurant on Martha's Vineyard. We had not been here in a few years and when friends invited us, we decided to give it a try. Joe DeSilva (chef) has just gotten better and better. The Pork and Clams was excellent as was the chicken. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that it is very noisy. One of the best features (because it's usually a problem on MV) is that there is generally sufficient parking. Be sure to make reservations as it's very popular.
