“Great stay!!”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

I want to start by saying this location is probably the nicest Embassy Suites we've been to. It is large, clean, and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are a very nice size and the beds are comfortable. We appreciated the size and layout after 5 days in a teeny tiny NYC hotel.

The hotel is approximately 15 minutes outside of downtown Boston. It's right off of I 95 and convenient to anywhere you need to go. It's about 5 minutes from the Riverside T station. This is the green line - we parked at Riverside and took it to Fenway for a Red Sox game. It was very quick and convenient.

There were just a few things that kept me from giving the hotel a 5 ranking (would give it a 4.5 if Tripadvisor allowed it!!) - there wasn't a fan/vent in the bathroom, there was a strange smell in our room - most noticeable when we first walked in. At first I thought it was smoke, but after being there for 3 days I think it was the scent of cleaning products. It was very strong. Also - breakfast was very, very crowded. The serving area where the food was became very messy very quickly. Cereal was spilled everywhere. Plates and certain food items would run out quickly. The staff was very hard working and doing their best. It seemed that there just needed to be more people working to keep up with the very large crowds. Seating wasn't a problem - we were able to use the bar/restaurant area in the atrium area when there weren't any tables.

That being said, my family enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it and return if in the area again.

I am a high mileage business travelers, so do take these comments in this context,

This hotel (not really a Hilton it is a franchise) really is sub-par, the decor is dated, carpeting in most areas needs replacing. The breakfast area was reminiscent of a high school cafeteria. Staff seemed ill trained, room rates were high due to the location in the tech. corridor outside of Boston.

There are few places I liked in this area and I stayed there more than six-weeks.

This is not a good hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a 'corner room' still not great but for a longer stay it helps.

Green Features: I have no clue, it is not a priority - I work from hotels and often I just take a place local to where I work.

A group of us stayed here from 23-26 June 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very friendly and bent over to help us in any way that they could. The rooms were lovely, the facilities were great, there was a great atmosphere around the whole hotel, and hte food was amazing. I would reccomend anyone to stay here if they are looking.

Members of my family (three generations!) came from across the country for a family gathering this weekend--The Embassy Suite in Waltham was the perfect connecting point! Great accommodations at a good value--and the services are beyond perfect! Easy access to many places.

We were able to check in early, everything about our room was good. The breakfast was great. We were out every evening so we could not take advantage of evening reception. Easy access to Alewife T station if you do not want to drive in Boston

We stayed at this place while visiting Boston with our overseas friends. The staff is very friendly and breakfast buffet is excellent, specially the chef who cooks omelette . The facility is great for the price in Boston. It's easy to take Boston metro trains and avoid hassles of looking for parking. The place is very easy to access from 95.

We stayed at this Embassy Suites for a family function and found that this property was wonderful. The room was big, spacious and super clean. But above all, I must commend Joe Lishner Assistant Front Office Manager. He was absolutely fabulous in helping us with a minor problem that we had. Joe was kind, caring and bent over backwards to help us. Our granddaughter loved the indoor pool which was very clean and pleasant to be in.

The breakfast buffet was amazing, with an omlette station where they were being made fresh.

It is very close to all the highways and we had no problem getting around the area.

We would not hesitate to stay and this property again when in the area.
