This museum is a small gem. The day we came, the museum was actually closed! But they let us in anyway, and gave us a personal half-hour tour of some of the exhibits. There are some excellent machines on display, extremely interesting!

If you are into historical mechanical devices or the industrial revolution in America - this is the place for you and me. The volunteers did a great job with a limited budget, only wish they had the money that the Heinz Museum in Pittsburgh had. The staff knows very little about anything, lacks enthusiasm and training. It would be great if they had tour guides and did some kickstarter fundraining - I would definitely support the effort.

Very interesting subject (the mill history of Waltham MA ) as well as an interesting rehab of an old factory.

Wonderful small museum. Great way to learn the history of the area and the industrial revolution. A not to be missed museum. Also Moody St is full of great restaurants.

This museum has displays Waltham watches(used in World War II) and odds and ends from a older mechanical age. I took my rather young grandson there twice, who loved being able to push buttons and see things actually respond. He could ring a huge bell and enter an old phone booth. The museum was small enought yo be manageable.
The best thing about it is its staff of dedicated people who really understood the history of the area and loved to talk about it. The only difficulty is finding the musuem. Because of the Historical designation, the signage is limited.
