“Hands down, the best in a 60 mile radius!”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We have been dining at Ella's since they opened and have NEVER been disappointed. The menu is creative and delicious, the specials are always amazing. If you are looking for stuffiies, nachos and chicken tenders, KEEP driving. Ella's rivals any big city restaurant but without the attitude. The appetizer of squash blossoms is amazing, the stripped bass special is the best and the deserts are outrageous. Best of all, the service is always great, even on busy nights. If someone in your party is not adventurous, try the burgers and pizzas, simple, tasty and so much more than just regular fare! Love this place, our fav!!!!!

“Great Food, terrible accoustics--too loud”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

We had a great fig and prosciutto pizza with a great salad. Others in our group had roasted chicken...all the food was terrific. The wait staff were very efficient and attentive. I give Ella's only 4 stars because the place is so noisy you can't hear your self think. The acoustics are terrible...too many hard surfaces for the clatter and talking to bounce off. We had to shout at each other and that' is no fun. Very tiresome. They need softer acoustical panels installed on the hard wood ceilings between the rafters or some other acoustical treatment.

“Shockingly Disappointing”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

My husband, myself, and another couple were at Ella's on Saturday and were extremely disappointed. The service was definitely lacking. For example, our waitperson took at least 15 minutes to ask for our cocktail order, and it took an additional 20 minutes for it to arrive. I could almost accept this if they were very busy, but only three other tables were occupied. However, a sparse bread basket was delivered with different and tasty dips, but ice water had to be requested. This should have been an automatic service at an establishment in the upscale range. My husband and another person in our party ordered the linguine white clam sauce. The waitperson asked if they wanted the small or large portion. They opted for the large, which had a very inadequate portion size. It consisted of a small portion of pasta surrounded by no more than 9/10 steamed littlenecks and no chopped and sautéed clams on the linguine. On top of that, it was lukewarm when served. I ordered the Bolognese, which was passable but not exquisite. We will not be returning.

“First time at restaurant and not the last time.”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

We went for lunch and were very happy with our choice to go here.I had the popular chowder.it is freshly made for each portion. The base is made from potatoes and there were about 4 open little necks with diced sweet potatoes in it and it was so tasty. The best I've ever had.My husband had a side salad with local butter lettuce, goat cheese, and pickeled strawberries. He said it was great. We split a large brick oven pizza-there were many choices but decided to go with roasted red pepper and sausage. It had a wonderful crust as it was not too thin but definitely not too thick.Just right. It was served on elevated silver tray and service was excellent. We will definitey be back and will try the many very different menu items. They are open also for dinner.Chef and his wife run a excellent restaurant.
