Had been to Shiraz once before on a weeknight. Wasn't impressed, the place was empty, and the food was good but not exceptional. Returned this time on a Friday night, and the place was packed with locals, mostly families of middle eastern culture. There was nice live instrumental music, indigenous to the culture, and not intrusive, The appetizers were sensational and demanded an extra large round hot flat bread to enjoy. The mains were very good ... some said the meatball kebab was better than a memorable lunch we had in Istanbul. The whole chicken was delectable, and the chicken and lamb kebabs on fragrant rice were tender and tasty. Bill came to $125 for 4, including 4 glasses of wine, tax and tip.
