“Better Than Any Hotel!!!!”
Reviewed 19 August 2012

My girlfriend and I just got back from the our stay at Honeysuckle Hill and I couldn't wait to get home and share my experience with others who might be thinking about staying on the Cape. We have stayed at many 5-star hotels in the past and my girlfriend has even worked in the hospitality industry. So I am very happy to report that our stay at the Honeysuckle Inn exceeded any of our past vacations experiences. We typically do not like to visit a location more than once but on our drive home we couldn't stop talking about when we could go back!

From the historical home, the amazing rooms, incredible local artwork and who could ever forget the spectacular breakfast; The Honeysuckle has definitely earned a special place in our hearts. Our innkeepers / our new friends, Nancy and Rick, were never far away for great suggestions on what to do while on the cape. We happened to forget an umbrella, but Rick and Nancy came to our rescue and allowed us to borrow one of theirs. If we wished to go to the beach and forgot a towel, chair, or even a boogie board; they had it all readily available for all their guests to use --- at no extra charge... very unlike a typical hotel.

In our opinion, Honeysuckle Hill is truly a must stay if visiting the Cape!!!!!

My family and I had a brief but lovely stay at the charming Honeysuckle Hill Inn. The place is right off route 6A, easy to find and as charming as we saw in the website. The garden is beautiful, with wild rabbits showing up to see us now and then (an added pleasure for my son who's a big city kid). Lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds, small vases of freshly cut flowers, clean bathrooms though a bit old. The living room, dining room, and the covered porch are nicely decorated and all very cozy. There is a large hot tub in the backyard garden which is open for guests' use, would have been great if we have more time there. Rick and Nancy, the innkeepers, are warm and helpful. We played cards in the living room at night and they turned on nice music to keep us company.

Breakfast was not the four-course lavish one like what we read in some guidebooks, probably with the change of the owner last year, nevertheless we found ours delicious and just what we'd like (freshly baked muffins, frittata/ bread, fresh fruit salad, juice and coffee.)

The location is quite away from town, so for those who prefer to relax in a quiet, natural setting and lovely garden, the place is perfect. The beach is some 5-10 min drive away. In all, we had a really pleasant stay in this lovely B&B.

My husband and I had a great stay at the lovely B&B. It is clean, has very clean bathrooms with perfect little English soaps and has a great back yard and porch! The Inn Keepers Nancy and Rick are inviting and wonderful. They have towels, beach chairs, beverages and even flip flops for you to take to the beach. I can't say enough about this place- it is definitely the place to stay while visiting Barstable!

My fiance proposed to me at Honeysuckle Hill and the owners (Rick and Nancy) made it magical. They arranged to have flowers, chocolate truffles and champagne in the room as a surprise after our dinner. They had excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities (even in the off season). Overall, they were helpful and hospitable, but gave us lots of privacy.

The room itself (Wisteria) was charming, clean and cozy with a massive bed. There was a TV and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries.

The breakfast was phenomenal. We started with some of the best muffins we have ever had (jelly filled) with coffee, while reading the newspaper. We were then served a goblet of fresh fruit. The main course was a frittata and a turkey hash. It was presently beautifully and delicious.

The B&B has wonderful screened in porch and cozy sitting area. I would highly recommend Honeysuckle Hill for a romantic getaway.

Room Tip: Wisteria was great. Its located on the second floor and is large.

Rick and Nancy are great innkeepers. They are helpful, gracious, and know how to pamper their guests. From putting a log on the fire the first night we were there to serving delicious breakfasts to loaning local guidebooks and to making recommendations, they were always there when we needed them but never got in our way. We look forward to returning to Honeysuckle Hill away.

Rick and Nancy are terrific hosts! Their expertise and experience running b&b's shines through. They are gracious and welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about all of the Cape. The property is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful, bathrooms spotless, and all of the beds are comfy. After a great night sleep, wake up with EXCELLENT coffee and Nancy's delicious breakfasts. My husband and I stayed two relaxing nights. This is a wonderful location - easy to get to and from, with a lot to do right around here. With Rick and Nancy's helpful tips, we were able to spend two totally satisfying days sightseeing, enjoying the local beach, and finding the best kept secrets of the Cape. If you need a book, ask Rick to recommend one from the shelves - he'll find the one for you that you didn't know you were looking for. We hope to do the brewery tours or the glass museum (when you book, ask about the package deals). We will definitely be coming back again and again.

Room Tip: We were in the Wisteria suite, but, since there were no other guests when we arrived, we asked for t...
