“Perfect if you want to skip the crowds”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2013

This is a really nice, quiet place to go if you're fed up of the Cape Cod crowds. The food is great, and the service is attentive. They have a Caribbean flair to their foods, and also have a really nice breakfast menu. When you first come, you may feel a bit awkward because of the definite lack of people in here. In fact, there's been times where my party has been the only ones there, from the time we were seated till the time we paid and left. If that kind of ambiance is off-putting to you, you'll want to skip this place. But if you enjoy tasty food at reasonable prices, give it a try!

“You'll Have To Decide”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2013

This experience was something else! Upon arrival we were given a sheet of paper with the specials..........brown stew chicken ($8.50), oxtail ($14.50), jerk chicken ($9.50), brown stew fish ($17.95), escovitch fish ($17.95), curry goat ($12.95).........Huh?? We asked for the "regular" menu. There were only two other parties in the place, a total of seven other people, and three were already eating. We waited a long time for the waitress to take our order. Two people ordered reuben sandwiches. She returned to say they didn't have reubens. Both ordered pastrami sandwiches. She returned to say they didn't have pastrami. Okay, then, what do you have? "We only have the turkey club." Why are they presenting a menu list of sandwiches when they don't have but one? One person orders the club, the other orders potato skins. Two others order pizza, one orders the tuscan shrimp dinner. We wait at least 30 minutes after which some meals come out but not all. Another 10 minutes pass before the rest get served. The turkey club was not turkey - it was grilled chicken. That person found two hairs in their cole slaw!! The hair was light in color, but both the cook and waitress had dark hair, so it was not theirs. This is enough to take one's appetite away. Other than the cole slaw, the food was excellent and very tasty. The tuscan shrimp came with 5 good sized shrimp and was delicious. The cook offered to not charge for the "turkey" club due to the hairs, but the person insisted on paying something for the sandwich since it was eaten. $4.00 was taken off the bill. The cook (owner??) brought out scoops of icecream for the two little ones, but their mom wished he had waited because they didn't want to finish their meal after that. However, the gesture was greatly appreciated. Because the person with the tuscan shrimp raved about it, we got a take-out of it the following day. Now there were 7 shrimp and 2 pieces of garlic bread. Previously there were 5 shrimp and no garlic bread. The positive points are that the food was very good and the cook tried to be accomodating. There were too many negatives, however - long wait for everything, meals didn't come out together, inconsistant portions on the tuscan shrimp (but paid the same price both times). I might give it another try at some point in the future. I'm scoring this an "average" mainly because the food was good.

“Experimental visit a success!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2012

Looking for a breakfast spot we had never been to on ab experimental basis, and having passed OC's hundreds of times over the years, we found our visit far exceeded our expectations. Our meals were tasty with a nice presentation, served in a timely manner, waitress was exceptionally nice, and over all we were very satisfied and will likely return given a similar situation, especially on an off season visit.

I opted for something out of the ordinary, a Brazilian Sub, which included roasted red pepper, sauteed onion, linguica, scrambled eggs and melted pepper jack cheese on a toasted sub roll. A filling handfull! Though I have forgotten my grandson's omelet ingredients, he opted for their "Create your own" option where if they like it, they will name it after you and put it on the menu. It was delicious, but he was disappointed they did not comment on it. My wife was happy with her choice as well.

We've bypassed OC's in the past because it's look from the outside does not say "Come Here" like some of the other options, but we found it does have a hometown atmosphere that will likely bring as back. The waitress was a very personable young lady, I think her name may have been pronounced "Juste" with a slilent J, but was nearing the end of her summer employment. She was knowledgeble and very personable, and a joy to speak with on this late morning breakfast when things had slowed down.

“Accomodating and tasty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2012

We recently went to OC's for breakfast, a large group of 10, and found it to be very accomodating for our large group. Being a Saturday morning, we were sure that we would have a wait, for both table and service, but were pleasantly surprised when they were able to seat us at 2 separate tables and take care of us immediately. The breakfast menu was typical,, but was served up quick and hot. The wait staff banded together to make sure we all had what we needed, and seeing how we had very small children with us, made sure that there was no delay. Prices were reasonable as well.
I believe that OC's also serves breakfast and dinner, and there is a roof top deck where you can dine outside. If you're in the area, definitely give them a try!
