We were told by the locals this was the BEST chowder on the cape. I really didn't think so. I was unimpressed and the wait staff seemed very nonchalant. Wasn't the best visit

I have been here a few times and I am never disappointed. They have traditional seafood dishes that are fresh and delicious. The chowder is awesome, arguably the best in New England. The bar can get crowded but the bartenders know there stuff and can whip you up something great if your not sure what you would like. If you go in the off season it is a great place to hang with the locals, the staff seems to know everyone which lends to a friendly atmosphere. The rustic Cape Cod design is exactly what you would expect, the new patio area and fire pit in the back is really nice and I look forward to visiting in the warmer weather. Get there early on the weekend evening and if there is any Boston Sports game on.

We go to the Cape two to three times per year, and Captain Parkers is always a place we frequent. No matter when you go, there is a wait to get in, sometimes long, sometimes short. Whatever the time, it is worth the wait. There's a bar, separate from the dining area, where you can enjoy a beer, wine, or cocktail, while you wait for your table. To pass the time, you can look at the ceiling and walls to see if you can locate a "patch" from your home town police dept. A popular place, frequented by the locals, as well as the many travelers on return visits. You may be surprised to have Jesse James as your waiter. (He gets that a lot). Of course, they specialize in seafood, but there's more to chose from. Also note the other reviews boasting the chowdah boule. Yummy !!

The Chowder Boule is the best. Thick, creamy, lots of clams and filling. The boule itself is pretty good too! A serving will fill you up.
