This is classic New England food. The decor is a bit dated but that may be part of the charm. Menu includes things like cod cakes, shepards pie, meatloaf, lobster, fish and chips but also pub food like nachos and wings. The clam chowder was some of the best I ever had. Burger huge, cooked to order. Fish and chips excellent: cod, battered-fresh flaky and tasty. Fries r clearly
Frozen. Tried their cod rueben which is a fried cod sandwich with tartar sauce, coleslaw and swiss on rye and it was very god. This is not haute cuisine its down home family fare. For folks with kids u have to walk through and wait in the bar. Not my favorite place to stand with an 8 yr old but its an older crowd, not rowdy by any means. We came for the chowder and the biggest mistake we made was getting a cup not a bowl because it was the highlight of the trip, without it the rest was good enough.
