“Great place to stay, excellent location”
Reviewed 19 June 2009

We enjoyed our stay at the Holly Tree and would definitely stay there again! We had a one bedroom, 1 1/2 baths and jacuzzi. It was very quiet and we never heard any sounds through the walls. I loved the fact that we could park the car right outside the front door making it easy to bring in luggage or packages. Although the parking was close to the door we had a mini front yard with grass and flowers and the wooden fence outside our door made a mini courtyard. Very nice! There was also a back door with a semi-private area where we could sit outside.

The rooms were cleaned every day and we got fresh towels every day which doesn't always happen when you're making a timeshare exchange. The location was excellent. There's a gas station, visitors center, restaurant and 7 Eleven all in the vicinity. Lots of restaurants and gift shops and very close to Hyannis, malls and the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory where there is a free tour.

The sofa bed in the living room was very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in the mattress but they supplied us with a cot at no charge. My son played basketball every day on the indoor basketball court and although I never checked it out I didn't hear any complaints from him.

There is an indoor swimming pool which was good since it rained almost every day we were there and it was quite chilly. If you forget to bring a sweatshirt, check out Cuffy's which is an awesome place to buy great t-shirts and sweatshirts at fantastic prices.

The best rooms to stay in were the bigger rooms which were more like mini condos. They even have some with the bedrooms upstairs. All in all, a great place to stay!

Definately the best place to stay for your money in the area. All surrounding hotels we checked out were slightly more expensive and most not as nice as Holly Tree. I have stayed there twice and both times my room was clean and the service was great. Haven't had a chance to check out the pool/jacuzzi but they looked very nice.

We came across the Hollytree on our honeymoon trip around New England .When we had booked a motel futher down the road and it was terrible, we upped sticks and went down the road and came across this gem. We got a room straight away and when we got there, the floor was wet for some reason and when we complained, we were given a replacement straight away. It was the middle of August and we were suprised that they had room for us, but wow we were glad they did. The rooms were great and the pools and location were fantastic. The staff were ever so helpful.
I would definately recommend this place to everyone, in fact after write this I am booking for summer 2009!!

I stayed there with my kids for a spur-of-the-moment trip to the Cape. The girl at the front desk was very helpful in finding us a room for the same night. The room was kind of small, i believe it was a studio, but it served its purpose. The room had a murphy bed and a pull out sleep sofa which was pretty comfortable. My kids went in the outdoor pool and loved it! They have a basket ball court which we also used, as well as picnic tables. Its on a busy road, but we live on a busy road, so the noise and traffic were nothing new to us, and there is lots to do nearby.

Studio is small for 4 people, but we managed just fine. Rooms do have microwaves now. A little disappointed to find out there is a ferry leaving from Yarmouth to Martha's Vineyard for $15 and takes only 45 minutes. We were sold $30 vouchers at resort to travel from Hyannis which took 1 hour 40 minutes. Room was clean and staff was friendly.

My wife and I stayed in a studio room over the weekend after Labor Day. The rates were similar to those of some of the cheap motels we've stayed at in years past, so we jumped on it. In comparison to some of those cheap motels, the Holly Tree is nicer. The pool areas are nice and clean, and the interior corridors (even though they weren't air conditioned) made us feel like we were staying in a hotel. A hotel, not a resort (although the notorious Thunderbird is now a "resort", so maybe it's not so bad!)
We were not impressed with the room. The bed pulled down from the wall, which was fine, but it was pretty uncomfortable. The toilet made a whining noise when it flushed, and the air conditioner was loud. I should say, though, the room was no worse than those cheap motels!
The staff was friendly, the location was good, and the internet access in the lobby was helpful. Otherwise, it was a mediocre stay, but for the price, it suited us fine for two nights.
