“Pretty decent accommodation. Could be better though”
Reviewed 23 August 2013

I came to this place after reading the reviews. The reviews indicated that this hotel was pretty bad. It was a weekend and afternoon so all the rooms on cape cod were sold out except econolodge which had one available so I put the reviews aside and ended up staying here. The lobby was buce and uplifting but could be a little bigger. The breakfast was really good and wasn't a hit breakfast but the price i paid for the room plus a free breakfast was unbeatable which us why the value I out a 5. The rooms were quite nice as well. The trciews were to me a bit exaggerated. There was a hole in the wall but it was hidden behind the tv and didn't bother me none. The last thing I have to say is that I really enjoyed my stat here even the staff leg me warmd grab a cup of coffee at three In night . I will come back again in the future

One of the 2 worst hotels we have ever stayed in. Holes in the walls, wet, dripping rust under the toilet, rotted molding, weeks of cigarette butts all around the property, stained pool towels, sticky goo on the nightstand. Will never EVER return and will steer all friends and family away from it, too.

Price was right, but facilities were not! We got 2 double rooms on the first floor. The first thing we noticed was a large swarm of ants right outside of one of our rooms on the sidewalk. When we went into the rooms, they looked as if they had recently been updated with new carpet, but we could not get our windows to lock! We called the front desk and the manager came by with a can of raid and sprayed the ants (but just left them dying on the sidewalk vs. sweeping them away). He managed to get the windows locked and offered us another room on the 2nd floor. We passed and he went back to the front office. As we started to bring our things into the rooms, we noticed one of the bathrooms had a leaky toilet, dripping water onto the floor in the bathroom AND, the bathroom smelled strongly of urine!! There was a bug or two crawling on that floor, but the main concern was the stink!!! In the second room, we noticed at least 4 spiders on the ceiling of the bathroom -- one in each corner. That was it!! We went back to the front desk and asked for a refund, which was granted and we moved on. That would be our recommendation -- MOVE ON!

Room Tip: Wind Drift Motel down the street was very nice for the same or lower price!!

Rooms were tiny and dingy. There was sharp metal sticking out of the wall in one of the rooms where something must have been ripped off. The room with the double bed had an awful odor, and the bathtub was stained brown on the bottom. Queen room was slightly better but still unacceptable. Would NOT have felt comfortable having our 1-year-old crawling around on the floor.
Did not walk into pool room but looking through the glass outside it did not look nice.

The one positive I have is for the man at the front desk. He was very courteous, kind and understanding. He offered to give us different rooms. However, we declined and found better accommodations elsewhere.

Nice and clean rooms, great location, close to the beach. Little inconveniences, such as no hair drier, no coffee maker - we are used to taking these things for granted, so were a little disappointed not to find them in our rooms. Breakfast is included, but is really modest - cereal, toast and coffee. Overall, we had a nice stay, but only because we came to Cape Cod to enjoy the beach. Hotel is merely a place to sleep after all ))) One thing that really bothered me was the windows - I only use A/C when it's absolutely necessary, and it wasn't, at night. Nights were fresh and cool, it would have been great to sleep with windows open. Unfortunately, the windows did not have nets on then to keep away the mosquitoes...

We had a free night because we stayed in Maine and New York earlier this year, so our June 1 and 2 anniversary weekend at the Cape was great, but the sleep quality, not so much. The location was great, the weather perfect, but the aged property (with a $79.99 sticker price) and some small issues diminished the stay. Our key got us in, but after dinner we returned to find no green light at the swipe. The manager was walking by and let us in, saying a cell phone might wipe the card memory out, but I had no phone. The fridge we turned on to keep a beverage cold never stayed on because when the light switch gets turned off, so does the fridge. We had no clock (radio) to see the time in the dark. The A/C didn't keep up unless on the high speed and was quite loud, which drowned out the road traffic noise. And while I was eating the complimentary continental breakfast, my wife was in the shower and since there are only 2 large towels per unit, she took the one I didn't use, and put in up to dry her face, and smelled a horrid vomit smell. She reshowered and then reused my towel. I like to shower before going out to dinner after the beach, and more towels would be nice. The limited breakfast was okay, but the milk should be kept cold. The staff was friendly.

We wanted an inexpensive place for a night or two during our kids Memorial Day soccer tournament. This was nearly half of the price of the very nice Hampton Inn a few doors down the road, so mission accomplished. First room we were given was downstairs. Could hear creaking of footsteps above us continually so switched rooms. Some shady looking folks around, possibly live there, Dunno for sure. New room upstairs quieter was equally in need of updating. Ridiculously old carpeting, furniture and bed covers. The knob to the sink came off in my hand and continually had to put back on. One lamp was missing not just one bulb but both. A few weird black specks on linens of one bed (not bed bugs). But mattresses were pretty firm and shower was hot. Breakfast not worth writing about. Owner was nice when we said that we would only need one night, not the two we had reserved since daughter's team exited team early. Other hotels in the area were requiring three night minimum. So weekend cost us $140 (with taxes) instead of upwards of $750. So mission accomplished. Not sorry we stayed there, but you sure get what you pay for.
