The staff there was wonderful! It was our room that needed some attention. It WAS clean, don't get me wrong. It was just the smell due to poor/no ventilation. Breakfast was so/so. It was very conveniently located to the hospital that we needed to be at.

We appreciate the nice comments about staff, the cleanliness of the room and the location, we will relay the information to our staff. In terms of the room being poorly ventillated. We would have to understand more specifically what the challenges are. We did not receive complaints about the air cooling/heater not working. That would take care of the air ventillation system in your guestroom. We are upgrading our breakfast next month with a variety of different, more freshly prepared items.

try to stay just at Hampton Inns. I find they are the cleanest and safest. My favorite is the Westport Hampton Inn. Staff is always cheerful and pleasant. Feel very safe, rooms very clean, well appointed

When making my reservation, I chose the King size room, non-smoking, and after reading the amenities, assumed that we would get a small refrigerator and microwave. Upon checking in, and our room did not have those items, we called down to the desk and were told that the room we reserved was a "Standard" room, not a Guest Room - if you read the Amenities page off the Main Hotel page, there is no indication that these two room types are in place. We were able to get a mini-fridge, so the response for this item was good.
Second issue - checkout at noon, late check-out is at 1:00. Again, it is not written in the Hotel details the time for late check-out, or if there is an option to pay a pro-rated price to stay for a few extra hours (until 3 or 4pm). When I inquired about this at the front desk, I was told rather rudely that they could not accommodate anything beyond 1:30, as the cleaning staff had to get to the rooms. As I travel frequently, all this is known to me, and I fully understand the need to clean the rooms. I have an issue with how this was presented, and the lack of working with the customer to find a better option.
In the future, if this is the only hotel option in this area, I will stay here, but in dealing with other Hilton Honors hotels in the past, this is far from the standard that I expected from this hotel chain.
Final Issue - making the reservation from the web page - after finding oue we had a "Standard" room, and that these room are not equipped with the amenities as listed for the Guest Rooms, I went back online to go through the reservation process again, and noted that there are extra links that do describe the room details. Suggestion: either make it known that some of the rooms at the hotel will not have the full list of amenities, or update the hotel to include the amenities in each room. While this is a destination area for a lot of travelers, there are still those of us who like having a refrigerator in the room and the option to have dinner in and a place to store extra food.

We appreciate your trip advisor review. While I am not sure which website you booked your reservations through, however we do have several different types of room categories. Through our Hampton Inn Fall River/Westport brand website we have several categories listed: King Standard, King Study and Double/Doubles. Upon careful review of our Hampton Inn website our categories are listed with description: King Standard does not reference a refrigerator or microwave, our King Study description does list a refrigerator and microwave. Perhaps in future booking a room with a King Study would be the type of room you may expect. We are happy that our front desk was able to accommodate your need for a refrigerator.

Many hotels have a check out time of 11:00AM, our check out is 12:00PM as you experienced. We apologize for the reaction you received from our Front Desk. If there are a large amount of requests for late check out, it does become challenging to properly clean and prepare a hotel for the next guest checking in at 3PM that same day.

We hope that you will give us another try if you return to the Westport on another occasion. Please call me personally.

Whenever I travel, if there is a Hampton nearby, I book it. The beds are so comfortable. I wouldn't stay here for the breakfast but you can;t really complain since it is free.

Everything is clean and net and comfortable. A good deal!

Very well located between Cape Cod MA and Newport RI. Close to shopping, restaurants, etc. Well appointed, clean rooms; well stocked bathroom; friendly staff, possibly the BEST complimentary breakfast ever served in a hotel, daily papers; almost makes you want to move in permanently. Absolutely nothing negative; all positive. A plus was the wonderful Senior ladies we met who were here for their annual Miss Sr. Sweetheart pageant. What a fun-loving bunch of beautiful ladies! And we still got a great night's sleep in our very quiet room.

Room Tip: Our room was on 3rd floor; very quiet.

Glad you found us! We are a great location if you have a list of spots that you want to hit in the Southeastern part of New England. We are inbetween Cape Cod, Plymouth, Newport and Providence. Easy access to all of those places with in 45 minutes time frame. We are pleased you enjoyed the Senior Sweethearts. We look forward to their pagent every year. It truly is something very special.

I have stayed here year after year and it keeps on getting better. Staff is so helpful and willing. I could not find my computer cord (on the floor) but I did not want to crawl around and look, however the assistant manager did it for me. They are always there for you.
