The Maple Terrace is a great place to stay for those passing through Williamstown. Rooms are comfortable and clean, not huge but perfectly adequate. The setting is beautiful, with a charming garden area and an outside pool used during the summer months. Staff are friendly and helpful, and it is definitely a good choice and a change from the run of the mill chain hotels in the area.

The Maple Terrace was a nice, comforatble place to stay in Williamstown. Close to the college, restaurants, and our destination, skiing. The room was clean, warm (in the winter) and had enough space for 2 adults and two children. THe hosts, Ann and Kjiel were super-friendly, had plenty of knowledge of the area, made meal recommendations and made our stay pleasant.

I also noted several return guests greeted, and a chance meeting of a neighbor (also from NJ) confirmed that this was a good place to stay in the area.

It is definitely a place we'll look to when returning to the area.

I stayed at the Maple Terrace Motel about 4 or 5 years ago during the summer, and had an extremely pleasant stay there. I decided to stay there again on a business trip with a work colleague. The Swedish owner was just as friendly and welcoming as I had remembered, and the view out the bathroom window was better than any other motel I have ever stayed in - rolling hills with horses, lovely even in the dark gloomy weather. I highly recommend it, and it is very good value for the price.

Maple Terrace was one of 7 hotels we stayed at during an October trip around New England and was certainly one of the best. The location and gardens are faultless - though out of season and in the rain we were unable to take advantage of the pool and picnic areas. The rooms are well back from the road, so are peaceful and quiet and they are tastefully/beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
As other reviewers have said the blueberry cake is excellent, but you'll need more breakfast.

We visit Williamstown and North Adams regularly and always stay at the Maple Terrace Motel. Ann and Kjell are gracious and extremely helpful and we love the atmosphere at the motel. We try to get the king room with the fireplace when available, but the other rooms we have stayed in have been spotless and very comfortable as well. The wi-fi is an added bonus and works well, even poolside. A great place to visit!
