This is one of the best aquariums I have ever been to. First it is free then the staff are very knowledgeable and caring. The outside has the seal tank you can watch the seals swim and also be there when they do the feeding. The seals are in rehabilitation from being injured. The Aquarium is small but jammed packed with educational things to do. The have a touch tank which is nice for kids.

“Best to visit on bike or on foot!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

Although I'm sure this is a great place to visit, I never got a chance to go. We drove all over town on a drizzly day for about 30 minutes looking for parking and couldn't find a spot! The only parking lots in the surrounding area are for Institute employees only. All street parking is metered and it seems that everyone was in Woods Hole that day and not wanting to leave! We were NOT impressed!

“nice addition to your visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

The Woods Hole aquarium is free and small, with about 30 tanks along a single winding hallway. There are two harbor seals out front, which are fed at 11 a.m. The staff hang around and answer questions from the crowd. But the aquarium is not large and it tends to be busy right after seal feeding time.

“Sea creatures”

A great little aquarium. Sign in make a donation if you like and take a walk along the wall of tanks. Each tank offers something new, check out the blow fish or the catfish. Pop upstairs for a view from above the tanks and for the kids a touch tank. Then if you time it right you can see the seal feeding and training of Bumper and Lucy. Both rescued seals whose home the aquarium now is. It's a great place to check out.
