Always relaxing, food is good & drinks are great. Atmosphere is very Capey. I've never had to wait long but usually go off season.

The Landfall Restaurant is very good under specific circumstances. As locals, we go there several times during the summer and early fall months. We always use the 2 for 1 newspaper coupon because the regular prices are simply too high for the food provided. We also go only for lunch which they serve to a very late afternoon hour. In the late fall, you can actually watch the sunset over the water after a late lunch.

The chowder is very good as is the lobster. Most of the time, the scallops are also very well prepared. We had just one instance when they were slightly undercooked. I always order a variation on the regular menu, which they are always happy to provide. They have a delicious cajun swordfish sandwich that I order with boursin cheese even though the cheese is officially listed only on the chicken sandwich.

Our service has always been fine. The waitstaff is very friendly and pleasant. Yes, the parking can be a nuisance, although we always park close by knowing that we need to bring six quarters with us. Actually, the bar is very happy to make change if you ask.

Given these factors, we will continue going to the Landfall as part of our summer ritual each year unless they stop the coupons.

Had heard of this restaurant because of the live webcam. Great views from the dining room, even in Mid December. Disappointed in the average quality food, except for a very good clam chowder. Service was slow; maybe they were short handed because they were closing for the season the next day. We had a coupon from the newspaper, otherwise it would have been more expense than it was worth. Even though almost no one was in town because of a snowstorm, we had to go getting quarters for the parking meters. The cop watching the empty streets! I wouldn't blame the business folk for rebelling!!!
