We've been big fans of Chef Stephanie since she opened her first dining spot in Woods Hole, Quicks Hole Taqueria, about three years ago. Her new venture, Q-H Tavern is just a few doors down from the taqueria....which is closed for the winter... and does not disappoint.
I dropped by solo this evening (my wife was hosting a "girl's night" at our house) and sat at the six seat chef's bar. The menu has a great selection of bistro entrees, but I didn't get farther than the first item in the menu which was roast chicken with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. The chicken was nicely cooked, moist, and sliced horizontally for easy eating.
The upstairs bistro dining room is small, but the large windows give a great view to the harbor, infamous Woods Hole passage, and nearby Elizabeth Islands. The Tavern is open for lunch and dinner, seven days, but get there soon. You won't get near there once word gets out and summer starts.
I'll get back soon, probably for lunch and to take more time to study the menu and appreciate this new, local gem.
BTW, several recent reviews were miss posted to the Taqueria, not the Tavern, and in 30 or more visits over three years, we have NEVER been disappointed.
