Serving only kosher meats, homemade chicken soup, and my favorite pickles, Weintraub's is a trip back in time. Excellent corned beef, pastrami, or brisket sandwiches. I wouldn't go anywhere else in the area for hard salami, potato knishes, or a well-priced deli sandwich on fresh rye bread. Decor is simple with photos of old-time Worcester. Service is prompt. Draws lots of "regulars." Accessible street parking on historic Water Street.

Once a month at my old job, my co-workers and I would order pounds of pastrami, corned beef, turkey, homemade pickles and unabashedly chow down. Paired with some fresh rye bread and their own mustard, there was nothing better. Before I tried it, a colleague referred to it as the best Jewish deli from Boston to New York, and I couldn't agree more. You may want to get it to go as we always did, however, because the place looks it hasn't been updated since the 60's - and not in a good way.
