The Village Inn Cape Cod

We stayed here for a night on a short visit to Cape Cod. The house is very old and has been furnished and decorated to suit its age. Rooms are large and comfortable and Karen's poached eggs at breakfast are second to none. Don't come here if you are expecting anodyne 'business hotel' comforts but if you like a bit of quirkiness and friendly hosts it's the one for you!

My daughter and I stayed at The Village Inn for a couple of nights in September and it couldn't have been more perfect. We met Karen when we arrived and she was welcoming, funny and made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet and breakfast was made to order and delicious. Yarmouth Port was a nice choice as a place to stay--centrally located but away from noise and traffic. We were sorry to have to move on to our next destination--I would definitely go back to The Village Inn.

Karen and crew are so friendly (willing to spend time just talking), helpful (with directions and local must-do suggestions), and accommodating (early coffee when we launched in the wee-hours of the morning). All of this made us feel truly welcome. The location in Yarmouth was PERFECT for getting everywhere on the Cape conveniently. We loved that the home was on the historical register along scenic route 6A. Mr & Mrs Compton

The Village Inn was the perfect place to stay on Cape Cod! The house is beautiful, Karen and Mac are wonderful hosts and prepared a great breakfast (amazing poached eggs) each morning. The Inn's location allows for scenic trips and the Dennis beaches are absolutely amazing. Next time we will stay longer!

Cape Cod really does have so many B&B's to choose from and after much deliberation, we were so glad we decided to stay with Karen and Mac.
The house is beautiful with lots of character and stories. The rooms are very quaint with quilted bedspreads and matching homely furnishings. The beds were so comfortable! Wifi, TV, bathroom all functioned as they should and we wished we could have had more time there.
Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and we loved our conversations with Karen. It was our first time to Cape Cod and it really is a lovely place. The Inn's location is right in the middle of it all and so going left or right on Route 6A will always take you somewhere interesting.
We hope to have another opportunity to get back to Cape Cod and would love to stay again!
Tip for navigation: The Village Inn is on Route 6A and close to the intersection with Willow Street.

Entering through the back door as you would when visiting family and friends, you feel immediately welcomed by Karen and Mac into their country home on beautiful Route 6A--the scenic, unhurried side of Cape Cod! Surrounded by quaint villages, antique shops, galleries, bay beaches with panoramic vistas and miles of sand flats for strolling, you'll find a home away from home at a surprisingly fair price. Rooms are comfortable, cheerfully decorated, and filled with tasteful furnishings and cooled by window air conditioners or bay breezes. A full breakfast with eggs and bacon was the deal clincher...not the typical B and B fare. Karen has the poached eggs down to perfection and even tempts you with a few extra slices of toasted, buttered raison bread at the end in case you did not feel adequately overstuffed already to start your day on the Cape. Our king size room was spacious and quiet, sans tv. An ensuite shower was a nice plus and even though it was billed as a shared bathroom (hallway) we never encountered another person day or night in the private wing. Many return visits are likely....too bad they are not open year round, though. Would be a great place to crash off season for a getaway weekend!

Great location on Route 6A and not far from Route 6. The rooms are very clean, quite and confortable. Downstairs there is a nice sitting room with games and puzzles and a covered porch with garden view. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Karen runs the lovely B&B very friendly and she helped us when we had any questions. We really felt like home. We strongly recommend the Village Inn, a charming piece of historic Cape Cod!
