“Too Bad”
Reviewed 19 August 2009

We tried this place which opened a few months ago in the location that was formerly Abbicci's. Physically, it is attractive--the same as the recently renovated Abbicci's. Our evening started on the wrong foot since the hostes failed to tell the two others in our party that we were already seated--so the sat in the bar for 15 minutes while we waited at the table. Her explanation/excuse was lame.

The menu is attractive--lots of seafood, but a nice array of other choices. Our waite was fine as were the drinks. The softshelled crab appretizer was excellent and the salad was Ok. The entrees left a lot to be desired. The lobster buccatini pasta was very poor--the pasta was overdone and the sauce was tasteless. It is not easy to make panroasted halibut unexceptional, but they did it.

Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but I doubt we'll return very soon for another chance.

“Lyric Opens on a High Note”
Reviewed 3 June 2009

I attended the pre-opening of this restaurant (formerly the Abbicci yellow house on Rte 6A) which officially opens June 3rd. I was happy to see a wonderful cocktail menu and a limited main menu which usually means more focus and care taken with each item.
Although I didn't try them, the Martinis (Pomegranate, Berry and Watermelon) looked wonderful. But the huge pitcher of freshly-made Sangria sitting on the bar caught my eye. Next time...
Had a wonderful salad of heirloom tomatoes ($10) and main course of halibut on lobster-infused potatoes ($25). Chef Jerome Watkins had the flavors of lobster and saffron balanced to perfection - not overpowering the fish. It's a special place worth trying again.

“Great destination”
Reviewed 3 June 2009

We went for the firs time yesterday. for being a brand new restaurant, they had exceptional steaks and seafood and great presentation. Dined with 4 people, everyone was happy with their choices. You have to try thier lobster mashed potatoes, a must to have.

The new owner was very personal and visited every table to make sure everyone was happy with their selections. Can't wait to return for another great dining experience and to listen to their jazz groups. Drinks were great and very reasonably priced.
