You start off watching a movie about Dr. John Kellogg inventing corn flakes and then learn exactly why he invented the breakfast cereal for his patients at the health institute.

We actually had the director of the Discovery Center give us a tour of all the inventions Dr. Kellogg invented. You even get to try some of them out! Many of his inventions were used in health clubs all over the world and even on the Titanic.

All in all a great time.

We'd expected to stop here and see very passive museum type displays of Kellogg's life and work. Instead, we had an interesting guide who walked us through and encouraged us to try some of the equipment developed by Kellogg and used to stimulate better health. The site is definitely worth a stop for an hour or more. When the weather isn't good you can enjoy the one museum type building. In nicer weather, you can explore the outside village too. Many of Kellogg's inventions were forerunners of health related equipment used currently.

We weren't going to stop but changed our minds last minute and we are SO glad we did! Our guide (can't remember his name) was so Informative and helpful. We came on a Sunday and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Very very much enjoyed it and learned so much!!!

Took my youth ministry volunteer team visit the Adventist Village to be acquainted with their church's history and visit the home of one of the pioneers of the church. Wow! It was great to see the many early inventions of Dr. Kellogg, a pioneer in healthy lifestyle and key figure in inventing breakfast cereal.

Started with a good video about the discovery of corn flakes. Also a nice tour guide gave insight into the inventions of Dr. John Kellogg. We had less than an hour to get this in our schedule. There is more to see, but this worked for us.
