We stayed here for a baseball tournament in Battle Creek. Twelve families for two nights.

Rooms were very nice.

The problem we had and the reason our team will NEVER book here again was the hall monitor manager. While we did our best to respect the rules, we did not appreciate a stranger chastising our players for being unaccompanied in the hallways. These are 12 year old boys traveling from room to room or down to the pool to be supervised there. At one point the hall monitor was sitting in the chairs by the elevator just waiting for the kids to do something wrong.

We found out that the hotel frequently has pilots stay here and these pilots are required to log a certain number of hours of sleep per night. If you as hotel administrators are equipped with this information then it seems reasonable to plan accordingly. House the pilots in one area of the hotel and the baseball teams in another. Instead our team of twelve were divided throughout the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors.

In addition, we planned a team BBQ on the Saturday and ensured it was okay to do this with the manager, only to be told the gated area we were cooking in did not meet some licencing requirement and had to move 3 hot BBQ's outside of a seemingly perfect space.

Now, with all that said the breakfast was great and the rest of the staff were always VERY friendly and helpful.

While we frequent many hotels for sporting events we are very aware of the "normal" rules, such as mini-sticks and rough housing, but this was just too serious for our team to want to endure it next year.

P.S. the pool is tiny and in such a small area that it is deafening to be in for very long.

This hotel takes me a total of 20 miles away from my regular route, yet I look forward to staying here every time. My IHG status usually assures me an upgrade as I received one this week. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The bed couldn't be more comfortable. Staff is very friendly and the lobby cozy. The bar/restaurant area is also appealing. I've had dinner on 2 occasions and was not disappointed. Prices are reasonable. If you want to venture outside of the hotel, there are 3 restaurants within walking distance (Ruby Tuesday's, Chilli's and a Mexican place. This HI is easily in my top 5 of all (IHG group) in North America and I travel extensively. Keep up the good work...and give me room #507 again on my next return. ;-)

I booked the room (on points) thinking it was an express. I was happy to find it was not and had a bar and restaurant with really reasonably priced food. A nice end to a hard work day. Great people and nice accommodations.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn and was very happy indeed. The quality of the rooms were good with extremely comfy beds and plenty of room.

The breakfast was a buffet breakfast with hot food and plenty of options, the waffles were particularly nice !

The bar was great with really pleasant personable service without being too overbearing which can be the norn in my experience of the States.

Couldn't fault, indoor pool was tiny though !!

I planned New Years Eve for my wife and friends. The plan included going to Firekeepers casino and stay at Holiday Inn. The hotel and staff were perfect! I had a drink at the bar while waiting for friends and the service was perfect! There was no shuttle to the casino, but that was OK; a cab worked fine. I highly recommend this property~

If this were a roadside (road not interstate) motel, I still wouldn't have rated it any higher. I paid $133 for plastic cups? It isn't run down, per se, but definitely not worth the money. It was very difficult to find. It is not visible from the road and there is no signage.

It has a restaurant which we didn't try but no store with snacks or anything. Just one vending machine. There was no tub (shower only) and only shampoo. No conditioner. The room was a bit chilly but the heating unit sounded like a jet airplane.

Unfortunately, it seems we were the only ones bothered by noise at night. There was some mysterious, very loud mechanical noise during the night. Not constant - random and annoying. At least we got an early start the next morning.

What a pleasant surprise to be upgraded to a wonderful suite! The hotel was sold out during our recent visit and we upgraded at no additional cost. The spacious accomodations had a kitchenette, dining area, TV/sitting room, and two large sleeping areas. The first contained a king bed with plenty of room and partioned off was a separate bedding area that had bunk beds, separate TV and a large built-in desk/work area. It was one of the nicest suites I've seen and excellent for families. The staff was very pleasant and despite being sold out, the hotel was very quiet. I would comment that a suite this size should really have an extra pillow and blanket stashed away and the room was a little on the cold side with the heating control seeming pretty inaccurate. Otherwise, we would easily stay again at this clean, nicely appointed inn.
