Older Hotel but clean and bed was comfortable. Pet friendly. Outdoor pool. Cable went out for the night but that happens. Hot breakfast provided: Eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, bagels, muffins, fruit, waffles, cereal, juice, etc... Very close to stores and restaurants. Will stay there again though the price was more this time than the time I stayed a month earlier... with no visible improvements.

Thank you for having such a positive attitude. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. We apologize that our rates have increased due to the season. Summer rates tend to be a bit higher. But we encourage you to come back soon and enjoy another stay here at the HOJO.

The motel is old as most things in Battle Creek. The first thing we noticed was the military in for the weekend. Need I say more? My wife went to make a cup of coffee and noticed that the coffee maker looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The wallpaper was coming of the walls in the corners, lights had to be plugged in, the exterior could use some work but it is costly work. (rusting beams deteriorating wood frames ect. Breadfast was normal. I did have a little problem as they changed the card code the second night we were there and I had to run to the other side of the morel to get a new one. But if you ever stayed in Battle Creek they are all about the same with the exception of the casino but you have to book early if you want to stay there and it could cost you depending on who is their entertainment for the weekend.

Dear Guest,

We do appreciate your feedback, however we would have loved to hear about some positives of your trip here to Battle Creek. Yes, we are a much older hotel and have been working on renovations. We apologize that we are not brand new as the Casino Hotel is BRAND NEW! And yes, we do have weekends that the military stay here while having drill in town at FORT CUSTER. We are very proud to serve our uniformed heroes. We also appreciate your business as well. Hopefully next time you will be able to get a reservation where you were wanting to, if not, we're right down the highway. Thanks Again

Liz

A little better than what I expected for $59 a night. Room smelled like smoke and the shower hit me in the chest other than that we were happy with our stay.

Bill.

We try out best to give our customers a good hotel experience. This is an older hotel with outside entrances so sometimes the smoke can be bothersome. We are proud to be a non smoking hotel. And we are currently working to correct some tub renovations from the previous owners. Thank you very much for your input and taking the time out to review the Howard Johnson Battle Creek.
