Description: Gatsby's Seafood & Steakhouse is owned and operated by Rick Revette. The Revette family is well known for owning restaurants for the past 75 years. Mr. Revette also owns Mulligans Pub downtown another Bay City favorite for 27 years. You will see Rick running around serving food, washing glasses and bussing tables most day and nights. He is committed to serving quality food at a very reasonable price and making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with the turn of the century brick walls and soft accent lighting. It is tastefully decorated in a Roaring Twenties theme.

“Nice find”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

We were a party of 3, who traveled to Bay City for a concert. We originally were heading to one of the other top rated restaurants, but were turned off by comments of selections, service or price, so we opted to give this a try. We arrived fairly early for dinner (4:30) on a Tuesday. There was only one other table occupied upon our arrival, but by the time we left the place was fairly full. The menu had plenty to choose from. The wait staff was helpful and attentive. The beer price was great at only $2.50 for domestic. The wine was a large pour. Two of us had the stuffed flounder and one had shrimp. All was very good and ample. If ever in Bay City again, we would go to this restaurant again.

“Great Menu”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Waitress was nice and suggested specialty menu items unique to the restaurant. The Wisconsin Cheddar soup was delicious.

“Loved It!”
Reviewed 15 April 2014 via mobile

Met a friend for dinner. The place had just seated a large party(15) Our order got in behind theirs and theirs and therefore the service was a little slow. People kept coming in and most tables were full when we left at 9:30pm. Chicken breast on ciabatta bread was very good but the standout was the house-made sweet potato fries. Thick cut with a very light delicious coating. The best I've ever had and will definitely go back to get more! Service was fair/good. I would imagine (as for most places) that poor service or the wrong choice from their vast menu would ruin the experience. The atmosphere is high class jazz with cherry wood-esque tables.

“Go for the steaks and ribs, not seafood”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

Crab cakes appetizer was thick pasty breading with just a hint of crab and seemed like it came from the grocery store freezer section. The Flounder del Rey was also filled with the same heavy breading, was overcooked and too salty. My wife got steak and ribs. Steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The ribs were very meaty and very tasty.

The waitress was great - friendly but professional and attentive without making us feel rushed.

An "average" rating overall, but if we both got steak and ribs it would have been much higher. They would do themselves a favor to take some items off the menu and focus on what they do best.

“Ran out of the special.”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

Our only complaint about this place was that they ran out of their perch special before we could order (and we ate early!). Staff was friendly and helpful. Establlishment is small and there were waiting lines with no where to wait on a cold night, so you had people watching you while you ate and they waited for your table. Food choices were many and very tasty.
