“Great Beer and Duck Nachos!”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

Fun brewery with a ton of beers to explore!
I ordered the special of the day Duck Nachos and was pleasantly surprised. The duck was very tasty and my kids kept bugging me for more of my duck.
We ordered he Honey Badger and Huma Lupa Licious beer. The honey badger was too dark for me but my husband says the Huma Lupa Licious is his new favorite beer - over his usual Bell's beer.

Ok choices for the kids - pizza is always a good option.

“Discouraged and left”
Reviewed 27 April 2014 via mobile

We were just there for the 10th anniversary party, and weren't even able to get in. We were there early for presale tokens and beer, showed up about quarter to noon and the line was already a block long. We stood freezing for a total of 2 hours, and were happy to, because 15 minutes after we got in line we were told when we got to the front we would get "super secret willy wonka passes". These would get us in the party at 3pm without waiting in another line. But when we got to the front of the line we heard rumors that there were no more super secret passes... We asked and were told they had run out of the passes "hours ago". We were stuck and realized once we purchased our tokens and beer we would have to leave, to put away the beer, and then would have to go to the back of the line... Which was twice as long as it was when we started! Freaking ridiculous! So we didn't buy presale tokens, we bought our anniversary ale and left.. Later that evening at the Lakeview we ran into other people who had a similar experience, but they had bought tokens and then weren't able to get into the party after standing in line again. Poor planning. Some of Short's die hard fans were left waiting in the cold with useless tokens, that were $5 bucks a pop.

“best microbrew”

Short's is a great place to eat. They brew the best beer in the state, and the food is great too. As a bonus they have entertainment several nights a week.

“Exceptional local brewery”
Reviewed 11 April 2014

Great locally brewed beers. Lots of options for the beer expert, but i liked the brown beer best. Food was a step above your usual beer pub grub. Not a huge menu but more than enough choice. The mushroom soup was right up there.

“Beer, beer and more beer.”
Reviewed 3 April 2014 via mobile

My husband I decided to stop at Short's to sample some of their beer. We were looking forward to finding our favorites and purchasing 6 packs to bring to family members. Unfortunately the several beers we really liked the best are not available in bottles. We were bummed, we made the wrong assumption that all the beers they produce ( about 20 on tap)would also be available in bottles. We were told we could purchase our favorite beers in growlers, but that was not going to work in our situation. Many of the bottled beers they had (about 8 types) were not available to taste on tap. We would have purchased some bottle beer if we could have sampled them on tap. I was told Elsewhere's it is not unusual for brewers not to have what they have on tap in bottles. We left with a bitter - sweet feeling, not getting 6 packs, but knowing we saved at least $50.00.
