“My wedding - Paradise!!!”
Reviewed 14 May 2012

My husband and I have spent many quick getaways to this great Inn. We live in Traverse City and Bellaire is about an hour away, and is a perfect place, year round, to unwind. Have a great dinner at Lulu's across the street, play a little pool in your lobby, soak in the hot=tub on the river. As a matter of fact, it is so nice we decided to get married there. We rened every room for our wedding night (May 12, 2012) and had a beautfiul ceremony in the Gazebo on the river, champagne toast on the deck and dinner at Lulu's. Our grown children and siblings each had their own room and we had a fabulous night and spent the whole next day lounging in the sun, fishing in the river - relaxing together. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating! Bellaire is a quaint town with lakes, golfing, hiking, river sports, Shorts Brewery, anything you could need is right there! We will be going back for years to come!

Room Tip: The suites are worth the extra cost if you are a couple!!!

I was here on business in April and didn't have the time to enjoy the many amenities at this picturesque hotel. I was in the beautiful garden room on the river side and enjoyed my view of the flowing river and wildlife. There was a beautiful deck overlooking the river right outside my door, however the weather was still too cool to sit outside for very long. My room had a tv, mini fridge, coffee maker, and wireless internet (which had a week signal in my room, I had to sit close to the interior wall to get my iPad to find the internet). The bed was nice and comfy and I didn't hear a sound all night long. The bathroom was stocked with plush soft towels, what a treat. Restaurants, shops, and a local brewery are within walking distance. All of the staff I encountered were fantastic, offering suggestions for local places to eat or visit. I would definitely love to come back here for a few days of relaxation with my husband. Thank you Stone Waters Inn!!

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room on the river side. Relax and enjoy!!

Whatever you like the Stone Waters Inn will satisfy. The rooms are charming and clean. The location is perfect for a walk through town as well as the woods. The staff will make you feel like you have been coming there for years. If you like the sound of a babbling brook, this is the place for you.

Super quaint town ... cute, comfortable Inn. My husband and I were unfortunately only here for 1 night (will be back for a longer length of stay) but it was great!
Highlights:
- Convenient walking distance to Shorts Brewery
- Nice sitting area in the parlor with pooltable and TV (were were there in the winter but the outdoor deck looks fabulous for summer entertaining!)
- Outdoor hot tub (yes, as mentioned earlier we ere there in the winter .. this is the PERFECT spot for relaxing after a long day of skiiing, hiking, drinking at Shorts or whatever!). Large hot tub sits on the lower outdoor desk on the river ... sit back and listen to the river and relax!).

Room Tip: Lower level suite has a great view of the river with a nice deck!

My boyfriend and I found a little piece of heaven at Stone Waters Inn. This place is so warm and cozy from the minute you walk in the front door. The beautiful fireplace was glowing bright and there was soft jazzy music playing in the background. We were actually scheduled for a different room that weekend, but Joe and Heather (owners) learned we were in town for a romantic weekend and they graciously offered us an upgrade to The Victorian Suite(On The River's Edge), fully loaded with it's own fireplace, a jacuzzi tub and amazing river views! When we woke the next morning we were pleasantly surprised to see that Mother Nature blessed us with some fresh snow (we were hoping to go cross country skiing). The view we had from sitting at the edge of our bed looking out over the river was right out of a fairy tale. All of the trees were covered with sugary snow, the dark river racing fast by. There were a few ducks in the river and around 8:00am we saw 2 deer come to the river's edge for an ice cold drink. It was simply amazing! Since Joe and Heather knew we wanted to go skiing, they were kind enough to print out some local cross country trails for us, they went above and beyond making us feel so welcome and at home. Later that night we took advantage of the heated full size hottub that is located outside at the river's edge(and also just a few steps from the Victorian Suite) while sipping on some Cabernet Sauvignon. The next morning we didn't want to leave and have our magical weekend come to an end! The only good part is that we are planning a trip back to Stone Waters Inn this August to experience a weekend in their Vineyard Suite (In the Tree Tops). If you are looking for a charming, quaint, cozy, welcoming place to stay while in Bellaire, Stone Waters Inn is the only place to go!

Room Tip: The Victorian Suite has impeccable river views, absolutely gorgeous!!

Stone Waters Inn was the perfect place to stay for our weekend outing. We initially came to Bellaire to visit Short's Brewery and were so pleased to find out that there was overnight lodging just down the street. We had a total of 4 guys in our group and the front desk attendant suggested the family suite. The room was incredible, so spacious! We had a full kitchen and living room area with a balcony that overlooked the river and outside hottub. We are able to bring back growlers from the Brewery and have some glasses of beer while playing pool in the lobby before hitting the hottub. The next afternoon we watched the big game on the flat screen in the lobby right next to the fireplace. I highly recommend staying at Stone Waters Inn, you couldn't ask for a better place. We are planning a weekend trip back to the Inn this summer!

The Inn is perfect place to stay for the family or a romantic getaway. My wife and I have stayed at the SWI on 3 different occasions. You feel like you are staying at a New England Inn. It is comfortable and private without the awkwardness of staying at a B&B. It is immaculate, charming, and has breath taking views of the river. You will love sipping coffee, tea or some Shorts Beer on the back decks. The hospitality is incomparable. Best of all, you are in downtown Bellaire and can walk to all that Bellaire has to offer, yet only a short drive to the best golfing and skiing. Trust me, you will be back!

Room Tip: Book one of the suites, it's worth the extra $
