Bellaire Bed and Breakfast

We chose Bellaire B&B for a place to stay near Shorts Brewery and in an area for a good bike ride. It was definitely all that, but so much more. The B&B itself is a fabulous combination of elegance and comfort. We stayed in the Empire room and had everything we needed. The evening social hour and family style breakfast provided enjoyable interactions with other guests. Breakfast both days was delicious. Highly recommend.

One can only describe the Bellaire Bed and Breakfasts in superlatives: the most attention to every detail, the most charming rooms, the most delicious breakfasts, the most beautiful grounds and the most informative and welcoming innkeepers! I love this place and the staff and will return again.

My husband and I wanted to try this B and B, stayed in the Tuscany room, which is very special, balcony with flowers, huge bathroom with fountain on the wall, Jim and Dave have excellent taste in furnishings and having a very pleasing experience for their guests, we will definitely be back.

We stayed 2 nights in the Savannah room. This was a last minute decision to come here, based on a friend recommendation. First, the grounds are beautiful, the room was lovely, and the whole experience was wonderful. Jim was very welcoming and because we arrived later than we expected, he wrote us a personal letter, left the key, and directions to get to our room. The room was decorated tastefully and was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and they were willing to accommodate our vegetarian needs. This place is relaxing, the hosts are wonderful, and we had an amazing time. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this lovely B&B.

We just spent three nights in the Tuscany room. The room was great and offered every luxury feature one would expect from a four star accommodation. The entire B and B was maintained beautifully, the breakfast was delicious and the guidance provided by John spot on.

Although we had never been to northern Michigan before this trip we will definitely be back and the Bellaire will serve as our base. It offers just what a B and B should in the proper proportions - a comfortable and luxurious lodging, creative and plentiful food and a warm homelike feeling.

Stayed one night in the Tuscany room, located in the Carriage House. This was a birthday gift from my boyfriend, and the innkeepers provided me with a gift certificate to Shorts Brewery for a fill up of a growler that they provided -how nice!

The place is beautiful, from the grounds to inside. Plenty of games, books, and movies to check out if you're staying in, or it's a short walk and drive to town. The innkeepers are very informative and truly know the area and what to do -just ask! There's a complementary wine reception in the evening for guests, lots of wine blends to choose from with light snacks.

Our room was clean and spacious, with cookies on the bedside at our arrival! TV with dvd player, huge bathroom, comfy bed -perfect. Plenty of snacks in the lounge of the carriage house, with water and soda too. There's no refrigerator in the rooms but guests can use the one in the carriage house and we didn't have any issues with that.

Breakfast in the morning was delicious! They don't want you to leave hungry so make sure you don't eat too late! There was plenty of fresh fruit, muffins and potato hash going around. They are also very accommodating with food allergy's, we're lactose intolerant and they really made sure to tell us what they used in the food and cookies.

Would love to stay here again like so many other couples we met there. For one couple it was their 8th visit!

David and Jim were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We especially appreciated the anniversary gift of a Short's growler, such a nice thing and something completely unique! The accommodations were very nice and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning sometime!
