Eight of us dined at a round table in the center of the restaurant surrounded by a chain mail curtain--a clever device to give the impression of privacy in a crowded restaurant. The service was prompt and attentive, and most of our food was excellent. For starters, the tomato bisque was very rich and tasty, the orange salad was refreshing and delicious, and the mussels were tender and garlicky. They served three wonderful complimentary spreads with the french bread--a roasted red pepper butter, roasted garlic cloves in olive oil, and an olive tapenade. For entrees, the pork chop was cooked to perfection, the whitefish with potato truffle crust was tasty, and everyone enjoyed their pasta selections--the salmon and lobster pastas were both a big hit. The only disappointment was the linguine with white clam sauce--it was so salty that it was sent back. But the dish was quickly remade, and served by one of the owners with profuse apologies. It didn't mar our special evening out, and we will definitely return.
