In September 2013 we went to Boyne Mountain for five nights of golf. We golfed two courses at Boyne Mountain and two at Boyne Highlands. The courses were fantastic, well groomed and challenging. Also had the best caesar's on the course. We stayed at the Inn at Boyne Mountain and it was quite comfortable. We toured the area, Petoskey, Charlevoix & Bar Springs. They were beautiful little towns with great shopping and restaurants and interesting sites. We loved seeing the mushroom houses at Charlevoix.

I have been to this location many times and it is always great! The slopes are well maintained and the staff is very helpful and friendly. There are slopes/lifts for beginners (this is where I learned to Ski) as well as large slopes for advanced skiiers and snowboarders. This is a well monitored family atmosphere and they will not tolerate "insubordinates"

The slopes are some of the largest in the area, however if you are looking for great "thrills" and ultra-challenging powder you will probably be disapointed. (after all... it is Michigan, not Colorado)

Overall, this is a great family ski area with a excellent staff and well maintained facilities.

It was nice and cozy for my husband and I to enjoy the lift ride to the top of the mountain for a fantasic scenery with out the snow and cold. Also, the ski lift rides were free if you stayed in the resort, an extra bonus.

On a lark we decided to go skiing in mid April at Boyne due to the lengthly winter we had up north. It was great. They were running three lifts including a high speed six person lift and had about one third of all the runs open. It was great, never waited to get on a lift and paid reduced spring prices. It was a great experience to almost have the mountain all to ourselves. Will definitely be back to ski next season as well as in the Spring.

I enjoyed the size of the resort being used to the small ones in Ohio/Indy. Lots of green runs and black diamond (perhaps lacking in blues). I brought my own equipment but my friends rented and that just seemed like a hassle and they made you go downstairs- it just didn't seem as convenient as other places. Found the lift ticket/lesson combos a little confusing. I loved how they had a shuttle thing to bring you to/from your car. Overall, we had a great time and it wasn't crowded at all despite being a Saturday in mid March with nice weather.
