Owner description: The views are breathtaking and the course conditions and service are top-notch. With five sets of tees, you can play a course length that fits you best on this challenging 18-hole course. Practice on the world class double tee'd driving range, and two putting greens, and you will be ready to play the course that Michelle Wie chose for her first attempt at challenging the men. Golf carts with GPS are included when you play on Wild Bluff's wide fairways and large greens. When you finish, relax with great food and drinks in the Players Lounge before heading back to the casino.

I recently went up to play and was disappointed in the course. The tee boxes were beat up, the greens were not well manicured and the fairways have lots of construction areas. It is a beautiful setting and nicely laid out but my concern is poor maintenance

Michael C, General Manager at Wild Bluff Golf Course, responded to this reviewResponded 24 July 2014

Greetings,

I certainly appreciate your recent visit to Wild Bluff and wanted to address any concerns you may have. The general consensus of our customers throughout the 2014 summer has been that the facility is in great shape, with greens that are quick but putt true. No doubt this past winter was difficult on most courses and Wild Bluff was no exception, with very wet conditions existing throughout May.

In the review you reference tee boxes and fairways that were either under construction or full of divots. We are actually very excited about continuing improvements to the property. To review, in 2013 we opened an expanded chipping and putting practice area and practice fairway bunker. This area was then surrounded by a split rail fence to establish a more private setting for those wishing to practice….& the split rail fence was continued to surround our outdoor wedding venue. Weddings have grown in popularity and it is our hope to continue to improve this facet of our business.

In 2014 course projects have or will include tee box renovations on those holes where the superintendent and I felt that teeing areas are too small, too crowned or just in need of general repair. To date we have renovated the forward box on #15, and have expanded our “alternate teeing area” on #6, allowing guests to play uninterrupted golf while the new #6 teeing area is completed. Additional tee box improvements will include #18 white, #12 red / yellow / white, and #1 red / yellow. In conjunction with these projects additional drainage is being added to both the 5th & 7th fairways. Again, these course improvement projects are needed and certainly show ongoing dedication to an already exceptional property.

Please accept my sincere apologies regarding your disappointment and I hope to see you back at Wild Bluff. Hopefully the weather will cooperate more on a future visit. The cool and rainy weather combined with high winds during your last visit surely provided a difficult test.

Sincerely,

Rob Lussenhop, PGA
Director of Golf

This golf course is worth the price. It is located across from the Casino and is a challenging course. The people in the pro shop are friendly and helpful. The course is in great shape and the views of the bay are wonderful.
The lunches available in the grill are quite nice, and reasonably priced. The service is very good.

This was my 2nd trip to this GC. The course was in fantastic shape. The course was challenging but playable for a relative beginner like myself. The word must be getting out cuz the course was booked solid both days I was there so tee times are a must. The carts were good and all equipped with GPS,s. the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great and reasonable. We missed the beverage cart the 2nd day. The view of the water and area was spectacular. Will definitely return here. Have all good things to say about Wild Bluff.
