this recently opened in the clubhouse of the charlevoix Golf Club. There used to be an area favorite located there called The Mahogany Room. Several ownership changes later it has been reopened under this name. the name was derived from the original owners of this piece of land when it was a cattle ranch. It is the goal of the ownership to serve only the best beef. in this regard I feel that they have succeeded. The restaurant is new and they are working out the menu kinks and are very receptive to suggestions to make their dream a reality. on the plus side their steaks were all excellent and prepared as ordered. The farm fresh market greens salad was very well thought out as to ingediants and presentation. On the negative side the Beef carpaccio was not rare, under propostioned, and thus overpriced. the Lobster Mac and Cheese was very dry and overcooked with little Lobster. The Atmosphere is ok and there are the proper upper end table cloths and napkins. The Creme Burlee with fruit was exceptional. The drinks were fairly priced and they have a good wine selection. The service was a little overfriendly and seemed forced.
