“Nice Place”
Reviewed 1 September 2012

My wife and I stayed in a King Jacuzzi suite when we went to Chelsea to see a play at The Purple Rose Theatre. For about a hundred bucks, we got a huge spa right in our room, a big screen TV, a hot breakfast and, because it was a weekday, a manager's reception with free beer, wine, soft drinks, and snacks (crackers and cheese, pretzels, etc.). I wouldn't say that this is the nicest room we've ever stayed in, but it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool looked nice but we didn't get a chance to use it. The only real problem was when we came back from the theatre, we had trouble finding a place to park because the conference center had something going on and they had taken up all the parking spaces. Overall, a nice stay and we will be back.

I needed a room for 2 nights in Chelsea over a weekend in August. I waited a little too long before booking, and the only room available was for Friday. There was a wedding that weekend and every room was booked. The reservation folks assured me they would call if a room came available. Well, they called, they even told me I could stay in the same room both nights, plus I had an upgrade at no charge. They kept their word, and took care of me! Breakfast was delicious- only if you like homemade fluffy cinnamon waffles with whipped cream and toppings, yummy fresh fruit ( excellent), fresh bagels, muffins, breads, cereals, scrambled eggs and bacon, hard boiled eggs and o.j. Great coffee! Lovely pool and jacuzzi, which I used, work out room (small, but it did the trick), guest room clean and neat. It was a wonderful experience- the friendly staff really sold me from the beginning.

We stayed overnight on a Saturday night. The hotel was pretty busy but not too noisy. The rooms are older but it seemed clean. The pool area is a problem. There were kids running around with no supervision, and worse yet, sliding down the stair railing into the pool- very dangerous! The pool chemicals were REALLY off. We all had red dots all over our skin after not even an hour in the pool. There were so many little kids in the hot tub that we didn't even bother trying to get it in. While it's not the hotel's responsibility to watch someone's kids, it seems a sign stating NO CHILDREN in the hot tub, might do the trick??

If you're looking for a place to sleep for the night, this might fit the bill. The hotel staff is extremely friendly, no problems there!

The Comfort Inn and Village Conference Center is a lovely place to stay, the service was excellent, our keys were already waiting for us at the front desk, the room was spacious and very comfortable, and we loved the high ceiling light flooded pool and whirl pool. We also loved the cheeseboard in the lobby in the evening, what a lovely touch! Highly recommendable!

The staff of the Chelsea Comfort Inn could not be nicer. The hotel needs to be refurbished immediately. Our carpet was badly stained, the small sofa was thread-bare. The entire hotel was in dire need of a thorough and complete cleaning. Our eyes burned in the pool area so badly we could not swim. The breakfast was fine, but again, the area needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned.

We stayed here to attend a family affair and would stay once again if ever in the area. The rooms were large, very clean, and the breakfast area was spotless and offered a good variety. Staff was very efficient and courteous. The hotel is also an easy on and off the interstate.
