Noble Fish is a small sushi bar with limited hours in the back of their Japanese grocery store. They always win awards for outstanding chef-made sushi and value. Try their unique Michigan rolls. If not there in time for lunch or dinner, they have both a carryout menu as well as freshly made assorted sushi takeout in the refrigerated section

From the outside you would never guess the food experience you'd have inside. Your first steps in are into an Asian market which houses the small sushi restaurant in the back. The space is small, but the sushi is delicious and fresh. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat or order for take out.

Some background: I lived in Japan for six years. I have traveled the world and have always sought out the best, freshest, most authentic sushi. Noble Fish is the best sushi I've ever had.

Pros: Great friendly family style service. The Japanese are renowned for their friendliness and hospitality and Noble Fish lives up to this standard. The portions are huge and the value is superb. A good meal will run around $15-20pp although when im there I gorge and spend around $30pp. TRY THE MICHIGAN ROLL!

Cons: Its a small space and as you can see by the reviews its very popular. You might find it difficult to get a table. No reservations as far as im aware.

When I fly into Detroit I do one thing first. I go to Noble Fish. IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.

Good quality, fresh fish and interesting home rolls. A local place to visit usually is packed, but worth the wait.
