Ordered a bottle of wine on arrival at the bar,
The bottle and glasses were handed to us and we were told, your table is over there,,,,,

Orderd the food, nearly an hour the food turned up
My partners mash was tasteless smash, and no sign of ham in the ham and chicken pie
My slow cooked pork belly was 25 mm thick, with only 5 mm of lean meat, the rest was all fat, and over salted
We ate less than half, made our excuses and left
Won't be going back, we eat out 2 to 3 times a week and in the last year never seen a meal so poor as this

I've visited this lovely pub over the past few years and on my visit today discovered it had changed ownership a few months ago. The food was absolutely gorgeous (much nicer than when under previous owners) although the menu is rather limited but if this means the food is better then I'm all for it! Dog friendly which is always a bonus. Very welcoming staff.

Had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Very nice food, although a bit overpriced.
Service was very good.
Experience was slightly let down by a locals ENORMOUS dogs hanging round our table almost the entire meal, would've been nice if they had been kept in the bar area.

Thank victoria s

Great pub with a good mix of locals. Good local craft beers available. Didn't try the food but it looked pretty decent. Nice heated outdoor area. Nice pub character.
