Description: The Churchill Arms is a thriving establishment incorporating a traditional English Country Pub and authentic Thai Restaurant. You can find us in the delightful village of Long Crendon on the Bucks / Oxon border, just two miles from the market town of Thame. We offer a fine selection of real ales and quality wines, served in comfortable and relaxed surroundings decorated with local and Churchillian memorabilia. The welcoming atmosphere of the pub attracts locals as well as discerning customers from further afield. During the daytime the mood is relaxed with local business people enjoying a bite to eat and reading the free newspapers. Food is available Tuesday - Sunday 12 - 3pm and 6 - 10.30pm.During the evening the Churchill is always bustling with a good mix of customers enjoying the friendly atmosphere, wonderful Thai food and live sporting events.

“Over priced”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

Lovely management, beautiful venue in the main pub.... food was average (price was not) too expensive. The starter platter was clearly Iceland type party food and brought in.
The back room dining room was cold and had zero atmosphere.
Shame as we held this restaurant back as a treat due to other reviews and had gone to the Rising Sun in Thame first. Should have done the other way round as the Rising Sun is far superior quality food and cheaper, with much friendlier service.

“Wonderful evening”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

We took our chances and turned up to eat without booking. We were lucky enough to get the last table for two and were not disappointed! The atmosphere was great, lot's of merriment in the bar with a wonderful atmosphere. We took our drinks to the perfectly manicured garden and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. When seated we were welcomed by a lovely waitress who was very patient as we took out time ordering from one of the best thai menus we have ever seen. The food was delicious, as was the wine! Can't rate this place high enough - we are looking forward to visiting again soon!

“Definately worth trying”
Reviewed 13 May 2013

Came here as a group of 8 family and friends, booked a table and we were greeted by a busy pub and the restaurant was in and to the left. Good to see a place busy!!

Service was polite and friendly, drinks brought quickly and attentive in topping them up!!

Food was tasty, served hot and the menu had a good selection of items on.

Thai food is not something I eat all the time, but enjoyed this meal very much.

For the price the portions are in my opinion a little on the small side.

Shared starters, main dish each and shared rice/noodle sides. Wine + beer, £35/head

“Tu Tu Thai still sparkles after all these years”
Reviewed 5 May 2013

Located in a frequently featured Midsomer Murders location the high st Long Crendon, this is a very old meandering English Pub with a surprising spicy twist. Tu Tu hosts the Thai Restaurant which after a dozen years maintains high standard of sparkling Thai food. Friendly rambling building with a nice garden and a well designed outside area for smokers this remains a local pub with all the accentricity of clientelle that implies..
The Thai food is the star of the show and of a consistantly high standard. The service can be a little shambolic and the decor looks tired and could really do with freshening up. It/s the only Thai food worth travelling 20 miles to enjoy which we do regularly

Thank you for your kind words about our Thai food and pub. We have been enjoying some lovely days in our beautiful garden and we are constantly refreshing things regarding the decor as it is very easy for our busy pub to get tired. In fact over the last few weeks we have redecorated the Gents and replaced the decking outside, but we have more to come over the next few months.

We hope you will see some nice improvements when you visit us again and please let us know if our service standards are not up to scratch so we can help us and our staff improve.
