Four of us visited the Thai restaurant at the Churchill Arms (not for the first time). As seems to be the way we all started with the sharing plate of hors d'oeuvres which as ever was first class. Our mains were a mixture of Thai curries all of which were flavoursome and beautifully cooked. The portions are generous and the food well presented by friendly staff. Only downside is that it can get a bit noisy when both the pub and the restaurant are busy.

Thank Andy W

Hi Andy,

Thank you for visiting us and sharing a very nice review. We do appreciate that due to the small intimate nature of our restaurant it can get a bit noisy, this can be a positive when we are quieter as it helps generate a bit of atmosphere, but it is very difficult when we have a very busy bar.

However if you prefer a quieter room, by all means ask about using our second dining room which we use on Friday and Saturday evenings and it is also great for larger parties who want an exclusive dining room.

Thank you once more and we hope to see you again soon.
Best wishes

We hadn't visited for a number of years, and there appears to be new owners. The bar area is very good with leather settees and a good selection of real ales and ciders. However this is a review of the restaurant which was pretty empty for as we found out a good reason. The Thai waiter hovers over you in a very intimidating way about every 5 minutes. The food was overcooked, I actually sent my main course back as the meat was like cardboard. The sauces were the blandest I have ever eaten in a Thai, I asked for fresh chillies and made my own sauce. What a shame as this is a great venue

Hi

Thank you for your review and for your visit to Tutu's Thai. We are still the same owners who started the Thai restaurant some 11 years ago, unfortunately we were away on holiday when you visited.

We have taken on some new staff recently and we had already started training our very enthusiastic waiter that there is a fine line between being helpful and imposing and we appreciate that this is not the relaxed friendly service we have been giving successfully for many years. We do appreciate your comments and I am sure that you will see some vast improvements to our service on your next visit.

With regards to the standard of the food again I can only apologize as this is obviously not the standard we expect from our kitchen, and in fact we are usually commended on how flavourful and high quality our food is. Again thank you for letting us know, this review has been shown to all of our kitchen staff and we are keeping a close eye on the quality of our dishes.

Please come and visit us again and I would hope that you will see the quality and service that you would expect from our lovely pub.

Best wishes

went here on Tuesday 6th May 2014 the problem is there is not many restaurants in the area so you are basically held captive. The food was good I had chicken Pad Thai and my girlfriend a chicken dish. The prices are of that of a good Thai London restaurant. The deserts let it down there was not one Thai desert all what was offered was that on a wimpey Bar menu which is a shame.

Lovely management, beautiful venue in the main pub.... food was average (price was not) too expensive. The starter platter was clearly Iceland type party food and brought in.
The back room dining room was cold and had zero atmosphere.
Shame as we held this restaurant back as a treat due to other reviews and had gone to the Rising Sun in Thame first. Should have done the other way round as the Rising Sun is far superior quality food and cheaper, with much friendlier service.
