Just spent 3 nights here whilst visiting friends locally. This little cottage is an absolute gem. We arrived late on a Friday night to find a welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot choc and biscuits which was very welcome after a 6hr journey.
The main bedroom had plenty of storage, with a single fold up bed in the cupboard. However our 13yr old preferred the sofa bed in the lounge (Dad snores!). Excellent nights sleep had by all! Free wifi = Netflix = happy teenager!
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need. Even down to washing up liquid and bin bags! Although I do feel you need a degree to work out the council recycling policy .
There is a pub next door that serves food although we didn't eat there, we did have a drink. The locals were very friendly and the landlord even gave me some ice to take back so I could have a drink at home. You don't need to worry about the noise because we didn't hear a thing.
Tesco is 2 minutes away with another pub/restaurant next to it.
So it's with a heavy heart I write this review, I fear my positive thoughts will make this place very popular, which may mean we won't get booked in again! That said we will definitely be back!
