Movies by Burswood is now known as Telethon Community Cinemas and has locations in Burswood, Murdoch and Bassendean.

It’s the only outdoor movie venue that is operated by volunteers for a not for profit charity, with all funds going to charity, predominantly Telethon.

Movie prices are cheaper than the cinema at $14 for adults and $7 for kids, they have popcorn, pizza to order, snacks, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, and coffees to buy.

Tip - hire a beanbag for $6 each or take a blanket or chair to sit in. You can also take your own picnic hamper and make a night of it.

They have a few special showings during the season including Rocky Horror, Grease sing along and Dirty Dancing, as well as new releases as well.

It’s a great way to see a movie under the stars and support charity at the same time.

As soon as summer comes head down to movies by burswood. Fantastic value for money, buy your tickets in line as its cheaper. Get there early take a picnic & enjoy a great evening out! All proceeds go to charity which is great & there are bean bags to hire & blankets. Don't forget your mozzie spray.

First outdoor movie experience and I loved it! The weather tried to rain and ruin the night but it held out and I'm glad it did!
We did the VIP as a group for a work function, food was good, drink options good and a decent variety, the bean bags were pretty comfortable and set out for great viewing for each guest.
The volunteers were lovely and super friendly given that they are giving their own time.
Good variety of movies on offer, grabbed a flyer for the upcoming month and I love the mix of old and new movies!
Such a good night out and all for a good cause too, with some profits donated to charity, I would definitely visit again!

Excellent night. Had a picnic and wine. Hired a beanbag very comfortable. $6 Food and alcohol available to buy. Money raised goes to charity. Sound quality excellent. Plenty of parking. Take a jacket or blanket as it can get chilly. Purchase ticket at the movies.

Do not leave Perth without going here. Bring a picnic & a bottle of wine & get here and hour before the movie. This is the perfect place for a cheap fun night out that is not to be missed. There is also a licenced bar, a snack bar & you can hire beanbags to sit in. Take a sweater as it can get a little chilly & the best thing is that all the money goes to charity.AN ABSOLUTE MUST SEE
