I stayed here on a business trip and the room was payed for by someone else, so I cannot comment on the value. I was very worried when I drove around looking for the hotel, as I saw some fraternity/sorority housing in the area and could not find the inn at first. That is my only real complaint: the sign for the inn is very small. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was very nice, and breakfast was very good. The inn is really a set of older houses that have been redone in a part of town that seems to be undergoing renovations as well in an attempt to revive downtown Detroit. I really enjoyed the historical aspect of it and was pleased with appropriate renovations. The food and complementary coffee seem to be local and were also pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place.
