“Nice little resort!”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

This little resort really served the purpose. It was very near the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan, and near/on a lake. I'd say it is a 3-star level place, but delivered just what we wanted.
The grounds had many fun things to offer... We enjoyed the nightly bonfire and the kids made smores. My family learned to play horseshoe and the kids played on the play structure. There was also ladder ball, bicycles and volleyball available. The most fun was the nice beachfront just down the block reserved for Maple Lane guests...with a beach, dock, sandy bottom shallow water, a couple double kayaks, a couple single kayaks, a canoe, and a row boat. You can also tie your own boat or PWC up there and store your trailer at the resort during your stay.
The room was clean with fresh beds. It had ample space and included a mini kitchen with pots, pans, etc., kitchen table and chairs, a trundle bed that worked great for the kids. It wasn't new, but well kept and had everything. Parking was very close. Breakfast worked for us with bagels, mini muffins, doughnut holes, english muffins, several cold cereals, oatmeal, coffee (all day) and juices - we eat late breakfasts so this cold breakfast got us through to lunch.
Overall we liked the little resort as a home base for exploring the area, and it had some nice entertainment to fill in during our down time. I recommend it.

This is a really nice place to stay if you're visiting the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. You can walk a few steps to Glen Lake or drive 10 minutes to either Lake Michigan or Sleeping Bear Bay. The town of Glen Arbor is a short drive and has a lot of shops and restaurants. Maple Lane has a nice communal kitchen if you would rather cook yourself, and they offer continental breakfast. We stayed in Todd's Room in the main house, which was comfy and affordable.

My only real complaint was that the window air conditioner got really loud if you left it on for more than a couple hours. There were a few bugs too, but that's part of the up north experience, right? The main office is not always staffed, but there is a walkie talkie you can use if you really need something. Overall, we had a nice, relaxing nature-filled vacation at Maple Lane. I would recommend to others.

We absolutely love this property. My husband found it a year ago and we actually spent two nights here for our honeymoon. We loved it so much that we decided to rent out the upper carriage house for a family vacation this summer!

The property is well managed, rooms are clean and cozy and the atmosphere is wonderful! You feel like you're at your own vacation home when you stay here. The nightly campfires and s'mores are wonderful and there are grills everywhere so we didn't have to go out to eat very much at all as wee had a full kitchenette (and fridge!). The property also has lake access and a very nice beach and dock with mooring posts on Little Glen Lake. We rented a jet ski and it was so easy - the jet ski folks even delivered it to us. Also - there are many outdoor games for kids (volleyball, horse shoes, ladder ball, croquette...the list goes on). There's even a gathering room with a ton of board games for a rainy day AND they have bikes and kayaks available - at no charge.

This vacation was one of the most relaxing I have ever experienced. The location is fabulous - very close to Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. We will be making this an annual event! The lake was so clear and the sandbar was so long that we could walk almost out to the middle of the lake and not have the water hit our knees! It was incredible. Also, there are two cute outdoor cats that live on the property that are just so adorable. The kids had quite a good time playing with them. The whole place is just incredibly quaint and comfortable. It felt like home.

Room Tip: Every single room is good. If you have 4 or more people, you should probably rent one of the carria...

Our stay was very pleasant. We had booked two rooms- one for our aging parent and one for the two of us- with my wife with severe allergies. Every effort was made to make sure that our stay was a "good" experience. The resort is central to many of the activities that we enjoy- the lakes, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, and many small cities and eating establishments. The resort also has many activities that can be enjoyed- boating ,bicycling, and nighttime campfires.

Had a great time. The service was excellent. The rooms were clean and the owners took good care of us. The bars and resturants were fun. If I was a shopper, there would be some cool places to stop and check out, but I'm not. It's a must stay if you want to enjoy all the things that area has to offer.

The location is great for visiting the park and it is only about 10 minutes on the outskirts of town. Just a short walk down the street is Little Glen Lake. They have access to canoes, kayaks and bikes for their guests. Room was very clean.

Awesome location on Little Glen! We love being able to moor our boat. We have stayed in both the main building and the larger rooms with kitchenettes and have made the Maple Glen our new favorite place.
