“History of Flint”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

The Sloan Museum is located in the Flint Cultural Center. It has many exhibits detailing the history of Flint. We spent the night there for a Girl Scout outing so we had hands-on participation with many of the exhibits. When we were there the main exhibits were the Bugs! and the Pierson Doll Collection, both of which were amazing. The great thing about this museum is the diversity of the exhibits, which they are constantly adding to. And quite a few of them are hands-on exhibits. You can hear the phone ring and talk to someone from the UAW sit-down strike in 1936. You can view and live a day in the life of a dinosaur, play in a grocery store or follow the history of Flint in every aspect from the 1950's to present day. And cars! Any automobile lover will be fascinated by the antique cars on exhibit. A great place for the family to spend a Saturday!

“Touch a moon Rock!”
Reviewed 29 January 2014

The current SPACE exhibit, from NASA should not be missed! In this exhibit, you can touch a moon rock, ride a centrifuge, see real NASA artifacts and stuff from space. Admission is now $9 a person but you can buy a "share-a-pass" yearly membership that allows you UNLIMITED admissions to this museum, The Buick Gallery, the Longway Planetarium, and hundreds of museums in the ASTC reciprocal program, all for just $40. WOW!!!

“Sloan Auto Show”
Reviewed 25 November 2013 via mobile

An excellent and diverse selection of antique, classic, and special interest cars on the beautiful Flint Cultural Center campus. The annual auto show in June is one of the highlights of the summer in Genesee County Michigan. The Sloan Museum and the Buick Gallery is also open and included in the entry fee, an excellent value,

“Auto museum yet much more.”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

A grand history of the auto industry and much more. The founding of GM. Presently there is a living history exhibit of Michigan during the Civil War.. There is an auxiliary museum depicting all the cars ever made in Flint. All in all a great place to visit.

“Nice but pricey”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

The exhibits were nice. A history of the Flint area and a special on the Packard cars. Also an exhibit of local involvement in the Civil War. There is a children's play area at the midpoint. An ambulance with working lights the kids can play in and lots of books and toys. It was a lot of fun. Still a bit pricey. It cost $30 for a family of four which is probably on par for a museum but then again, it was more than I expected. I do not think the exhibit of the Flint area has changed much in the last 20 years.
