Charming! Comfortable! Relaxing!

Candace was a warm hostess who also intuitively knew when we wanted time to ourselves. Beach and main street was an easy walking distance and delightful. We had great options during our two days in the area, from kayaking to window shopping to the beach to relaxing on the front porch with a glass of wine.

Thank you Blessings on the Beach and we will be back!

We arrived at Blessings by the Beach by finding it on Trip Advisor while we were driving through Frankfort. This is a bed and breakfast and the weather was cold and rainy so we wanted somewhere comfortable to relax, unwind and spend some time together! This far exceeded our expectations and I will have to say that it was very hard to leave this wonderful blessing by the beach!
Our room was very comfortable - the bed was soft and the pillows softer! We were made to feel right at home as we enjoyed the sun porch, the wrap around front and side porch and even able to sit(once it got sunny) on the private sun porch upstairs off our room. We enjoyed every detail of our stay and were blessed by the hospitality. We were served breakfast every morning, and one morning a picnic basket was packed with coffee, fruit and smoothies to take down to the beach and have breakfast. We were treated like kings and queens and we learned the gift of "how to receive" as we soaked up the hospitality of being served!
Every evening we had wine and appetizers and it was such a joy to relax and unwind. I truly felt like I was there longer than we were because it was so relaxing and comforting - and, yes, we were three houses from Lake Michigan! Thank you, Blessings by the Beach, for your attention to detail to make our stay a time to remember!

Candace could not have made our stay more enjoyable! While Blessings has the charm of a cottage, it is much bigger and very, very cozy! The decorations are done with exquisite taste, but the whole "feel" of it is non-pretentious, relaxed and inviting. Candace made me a special gluten free breakfast quiche that was out of this world...her grandmother's recipe tweaked to be GF. Served with fresh fruit and delicious coffee (we are coffee snobs) it was part of a perfect meal and just the right amount! I will truly miss her well-behaved and super friendly dog (Kia) and hope to come back again for another visit! You won't be disappointed!

An absolutely delightful B&B located in a picture-perfect idyllic setting. Blessings is immaculately clean, roomy, and charming; Candace has taken extra care to provide attention to even the smallest details. Breakfast is homemade and delicious, with a wide variety of choices even for those who are gluten-free, and the wrap around porch with cushioned Adirondack chairs is the best place to start the day! Just a short walk from town or the beachfront, this is the place to stay to just get away from it all or celebrate a special occasion. The town is quaint and hospitable with plenty of restaurant choices available. The waterfront downtown park is a great place to watch the fishing boats coming in for the day with their catch. A short drive to excellent golfing, skiing, wine touring, and historic lighthouses. Thank you for a truly amazing stay!

A blessing, (also used to refer to bestowing of such) is the infusion of something with spiritual redemption, divine will, or one's hope or approval. Blessings by the Beach certainly lives up to it's namesake. Candace and her family were wonderful hosts! Breakfasts were delicious and the evening happy hours on the porch were a great way to relax after a day on the beach or visiting local attractions. The access to the beach is an easy walk ½ block through a beautiful tree lined street. Candace has bikes, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and more. Made it very easy to enjoy Lake Michigan without wasting time dealing with rentals. Frankfort is a quaint little town with all the fixings for a perfect family vacation or a romantic weekend get away. This place is truly a blessing!

Room Tip: The bed in the Seaglass King is amazingly comfortable. The bathroom is very large and it was not a...

Candace has done a wonderful job with this B&B! It is a beautiful home with an amazing front porch with tons of seating to relax and its in a wonderful location RIGHT by the beach!

Breakfast was amazing and Candace was so sweet by putting a menu on your bedroom door to choose your selections each morning. It was served at 8:30 along with some really good coffee or tea and plenty of options of where to eat...a large table indoors, a table on the porch, or really anywhere you want! She is overly accommodating and made us feel so welcome. We walked along the beach, to the lighthouse, around downtown, really taking in all that Frankfort has to offer.

Kia is the resident dog and she is so relaxed (must be all that time in such a relaxing beach environment!) as well as calm, quiet, and very well behaved. Not a reason to deter you at all if you feel youre not a "dog person". She is wonderful!

Frankfurt is a laid back, quiet kind of place and Blessings is the perfect home to enjoy that feeling....really getting away from the traditional busy life that so many of us lead on a daily basis and enjoying the beach and beautiful home surroundings. A previous reviewer described the style as "Beach Chic" and I think thats the perfect term...clean, comfortable, and a great choice!

I recently had the most wonderful experience at a Bed and Breakfast Inn, and felt that I need to share. After a very difficult several months at work as a health care provider, I needed a place to just get away to. I found an Amazing B&B called Blessings by the Beach up in Frankfort, MI. It took 3-1/2 hours to get there, but when I finally arrived all stressed out and tired, I was met with a warm smile and a glass of wine. The Inn Keepers (home owners) Candace and Paul Sorensen, were very knowledgeable about the area and delightful to talk with. Truly warm and kind!

As soon as I walked into this gorgeous home, I was almost instantly transformed from a frazzled mess, to a layed back "Beach Nik". The entire house is decorated in a relaxing, casual beach theme. There are lovely pictures, paintings, and inspirational messages all around, lovely furnishings, and an ambiance that floods your mind and senses with childhood memories of sunny days spent at the beach.

My room was the smallest of 3, but it was more than adequate and beautifully decorated. The bed was so comfortable and the fine linens were soft and luxurious. The entire place was uber clean, which for me, is a huge issue!

The breakfasts were scrumptious. There was always fresh fruit, juices, coffe, tea, yogurt, granola and cereals, bagels, and a different hot dish each mornig that would awaken me out of my sleep to tantalise my taste buds.

The Inn is 1/2 a block from the beach and there are beach umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, bicycles, floaties & other beach must-haves available at no charge! Also, there is a nice library of books, games, and puzzles to entertain all age ranges.

Downtown is only a few blocks away. There are several one of a kind shops, eateries, bakeries, pubs, and other specialty shops. There is a great Kite shop where you can find all kinds of kites, flags and banners. One of my most favorite places is on the other side of the marina, is called the Trick Dog Cafe. Yes, you can order a fantastic fresh ground cup of coffee as well as shop for one of a kind pieces of art work, whimsical furniture, sculptures, clocks, and so much more. I spent about 2 hours just looking at all the unique items. It's a great place to buy gifts, which is exactly what I did.

The trip to Frankfort and staying at Blessing by the Beach was just what the doctor ordered! I truly look forward to my next visit there. Anytime I can get away, that's where I will be!
