I gathered with my friends at Betsie Bay Inn during the off-season. i was given my choice of rooms. How could you decide? Each room decorated with such comforting detail. i stayed in the Honeymoon suite. WOW! Mirrors over the bed, sauna, jacuzzi, comfortable love seat- so beautiful and romantic. There were rooms with hottubs, rooms with hottubs big enough for 6 people, a room with logs on the walls. So very unique. The Sunday Buffet in their restaurant was huge, very affordable, and delicious.
An added bonus was meeting the owner, Leslie. She was so gracious and charming. i would definitely recommend staying in this historic boutique.

As a family of five with two older teenagers and one under ten, we can have challenges finding a place to fit everyone's needs. With the quiet and cozy comfort of the Betsie Bay and the quick walk to the beach we all had a very relaxing time to regroup from life's busy schedules. The Betsie Bay Inn provided great reading spots in the comfy chairs of the lobby to the back garden. The food was great and Frankfort is a wonderful treasure in Northern Michigan.

I was in Frankfort to exhibit at the local farmer's/artisan market and to spend the rest of the weekend relaxing in my favorite town in Michigan! I was amazed at how well the new owners transformed this Inn. It had been seriously run down in prior years. The renovations are beautiful - the decor has just the right blend of historic charm with and a nautical theme, but with a clean and current look.

I enjoyed my meals in the restaurant and I really like the way they purchase local produce and support the local community and fair trade.

One of my favorite parts of my visit was the tour of the wine cellar. The manager of the wine cellar spent a lot of time showing me around and discussing the types of wine. He was very friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable and I enjoyed his hospitality and learned much more about wine!

I'll be back!

My husband and I are very picky travelers. We were 100% satisfied with our stay at Betsie Bay Inn. We have stayed in many hotels in northern Michigan and this is by far the best. Our room was clean and very nice. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and the staff made us feel very comfortable and were very personable. We both loved our meals in the restaurant and we had excellent service both times.

Frankfort is a great little town and we can't wait to book our next trip to Betsie Bay Inn.

We booked this room back in February. The room (the St. Andrew's Lodge) was stunning. The steam shower and hot tub were very nice and the "romance" pacakage with the fresh flowers, champange, and choclate covered strawberries was a very nice addition.

Our main complaint was that the entire town seemed to be not quite ready for the tourist season. Several of the local shops and restaraunts were not yet open and others that were open had staff training issues, including the Betsie Bay Inn itself.

Our first dinner was at the hotels restaraunt. The food was excellent. As part of our pacakage we were given coupons for the restaraunt. There was a slight issue in using them, as the newly hired staffed had trouble making them work, but it was all cleared up in the end and of course, it was only a first day training issue.

On the whole, we had a wonderfull stay, and really the Betsie Bay Inn cannot be faulted for the rest of the town not being ready for the season. We look forward to trying it out again, perhaps in July or August. (The inn is about 2 blocks from the beach)

The Betsie Bay Inn is charming, nicely decorated and very clean. We walked on the near by Lake Michigan Beach, which was wonderful. A glass of wine in the bar is a perfect way to end the day.

I decided to write a review after reading a few poor ones, our experience couldn't be further from these. We stayed in a beautiful room which was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was amazing and we admittedly stuffed ourselves silly. This trip was a getaway to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday, and when we arrived we found lovely pieces of cake set out for us to celebrate with. The staff was pleasant, we very much enjoyed the wine tasting in the cellar, and the Sunday brunch was another opportunity to embarrass ourselves with how much delicious food we could consume in one sitting. All in all, this was a very pleasant trip, and I would and have recommended Betsie Bay Inn to friends.
