Our first stay at Treetops. We golfed the Masterpiece course. . . phenomenal. Stayed one night at the lodge building. Very large room! Outdoor/indoor pool and hot tub were fabulous after a day of golf and cool, autumn temperatures. Every employee we met was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you to everyone at Treetops. Yes, some of the actual "buildings/facilities" could perhaps use a facelift, however, pleasant people is more important to us. To the staff of Treetops who are part of the day-to-day operations . . . keep up the great work and thank you!

I, a Canadian, spent 10 days at Treetops with a long-time golf friend from Germany in late September and early October 2013. We were there for golf and to play in the 4-day Pepsi Challenge Pro-am. The efficiency unit, with two doubles and a kitchenette was perfect for us. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and quiet and met all of our needs nicely. Other comments on this site expressing concern about the efficiency units appear to be outdated in their criticism.

The 3 signature golf courses are a mix of wonderful and unique mountain golf, with challenging and memorable holes and breathtaking views around every turn. The 4th course, the Tradition, is sadly the only one that can be walked, but although I walked 36 carrying my bag on the last day, I appeared to be the only walker. The resort could do something about promoting walking and getting walkers out to the first tee which is about 1500yds from the clubhouse if you're walking. But it's a fine walking course!

I shouldn't overlook the staff we met. Kevin McKinley went out of his way to set us up with partners for the pro-am, and golf pro Mike Sarap and shop assistant Aaron McKintyre provided 4 days of non-stop golf partnership, instruction and generally fine hosting to ensure us a great set of memories.

We've golfed in many places around the world. Treetops is a world-class resort!

Room Tip: Efficiencies are a very good summer value. Bring a couple of extra appliances if you drive --- wok...

I had a recent stay at the Treetops Resort where I was attending a two day conference. I was very dissappointed in the accomodations. I was assigned a room at the Inn and the room was very dark, dingy and dirty and carpet tacks were exposed. There was no air conditioning, the ceiling light in my room would vibrate as the people above my room would walk across their floor. The room was very outdated, the TV was as well outdated and was very small. The bed and pillow was very unconfortable and needless to say did not have a restful stay. Service during the conference was also substandard, running out of coffee, ice water, no milk for the oatmeal that was served. I was very dissapointed in the accommodations for the amount of money that was spent, and I guess it goes without saying that I will not return

First of all I would like to thank Katrin in reservations for helping me arrange this trip for 6 couples of golfers. Our rooms were a little dated but very large and clean. Dollar store towels. Perfect accommodations for a guys golf trip. We ate at the 3 restaurants. Breakfast at Legends was acceptable. Our best night was Saturday at Hunters Grill. Food was okay but the highlight was the entertainment. Jeff and Sue were awesome! Music was great and they knew how to work the audience. They even got a guy in our group to play bongos on stage. What a hoot!

This was the worst restort I have ever stayed at. We were in 3 rooms, the filthy , stainded carpet, mouse traps, stained sheets and tub. Smell and poor quality food and serivce. It's a joke to call this a restort. I am amazed that the golf courses are even associated with this place. Dont waste your money. Its it extremely over priced and you will get a cheaper rate to golf if you book on your own. also there were dead frogs in the pool.

We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights in the Lodge. THe TV had to be 20 years old. You couldn't see it from the bed. The shower is in the large jetted tub with high sides. Very hard to get in and out of. One small shampoo bottle and that was it for toiletries. For the price of this room there should have been robes. The beds were comfortable. The air worked fine.
The restaurants and bars were pretty nice and walking distance from the lodge. The food was good and reasonable. Had fun in the bar with live music. But it was only open Friday and Saturday night.
The indoor and the outdoor hottubs were out of order. It was chilly in the evening, but the firepit was not lit both nights. The workout room had a basement musty odor.
We did not use the SPA.
We golfed only on the Signature course and it was beautiful.
All the staff was professional and very helpful.

Room Tip: I have heard that the beds were quite a bit harder in the Inn than the Lodge.

Thank you for providing your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your round on Rick Smith’s Signature course! Our restaurant and bar are open 7 days a week, but it is only on Friday and Saturdays that we provide live music in our third establishment Hunter’s Grill. Also we are making changes on our property when it comes to TV’s, and more changes are yet to come in renovating our property. Again thank you for your input and we hope to see you again!

We played all the courses and they were in terrific condition and a lot of fun to play. The hotel rooms are quite dated as evidenced by the Zenith televisions, tire furniture and dated bathrooms. The restaurant and bar are quite a distance from the rooms.

Our awards and accolades from the nation's top golf and travel publications seem to agree. Treetops is home to 81 holes of championship golf and features five distinctly different courses by renowned designers Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Tom Fazio and Rick Smith. Dramatic views, contours and rolling terrain provide a beautiful setting for world-class golf. The Masterpiece Course was Robert Trent Jones, Sr.'S final design in Michigan and is truly a masterpiece. In his own words, Jones claimed it his crowning glory. The course is located at the headwaters of the Pigeon River and takes full advantage of natural valleys, ravines and broad plains. The signature sixth hole features a 120' vertical drop and a panoramic view of the Pigeon River Valley. Dine Like a Champion, Party Like a Rock Star! Enjoy a hearty backwoods breakfast, great food, fine wines and good times, in a casually quaint atmosphere with spectacular views. Rich beginnings, succulent entrees and signature desserts are the perfect complement to a great day on the course or the slopes. Nightlife also abounds too with live entertainment and a sports bar with a massive collection of the world's favorite brews. Enjoy your favorite team on a host of flat screen TV's or create your own action on one of our pool tables or relax and take in the spectacular star show in the sky as you cozy up to our fire pit. Sleep Like a Bear Treetops Resort features 238 guest rooms, including standard and deluxe hotel rooms and two and three bedroom condominiums. Nearly every room takes advantage of our majestic setting and offers sweeping vistas of ski hills, golf courses, pristine woods or wetlands.
