“Will never stay there again”

My son and I recently stayed at the Quality Inn in Gaylord, MI. I will never stay there again.
- The first room we got (124) smelled like a wet dog damp and musty. To their credit, the front desk did switch us immediately. However the new rooms (125) bathroom door latch did not close properly. Had my wife been with us we would have been out of there in a heartbeat.
- The breakfast, served in a saloon next door, was just plain gross. The plates had some kind of residue on them that you could wipe off, and they were still wet. They were also too small, old and worn out. The cutlery was metal forks and plastic knives and spoons. The eggs were rubbery, the hash browns tasted like plastic. The cereal was stale. The buffet table wasn't kept clean. Not how you want to start your day.
- the pool water was cloudy.
- the vending machine was less than half full, very small selection of drinks.
- The entire property comes across as being uncared for
- the only positive feedback I have is for the front desk staff. They were professional and very friendly.

Please accept our sincere apology for failing to exceed your expectations. We are currently undergoing several remodel projects and hope that this may correct some situations. Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door which is run by a separate business. We have taken your concerns to their management. They assure us that they will do a better job in the future.

My new Husband and I stayed during our travels on our honeymoon and liked it so much we decided to stay for the 4 days! Very friendly, bar was slow but still enjoyable, breakfast was good. We would definately stay again!!! We were so surprised when we got the room they gave us the jaccuzi room as a bonus!! So thanks to you all at Quality we loved our visit and plan on comming back for our anniversary!!! :)

Room Tip: Be courteous as will they!

Traveling through to the on Motorcycle ride to Sturgis via the U.P. The hotel was average and not a bad place to stay. Had breakfast and staff friendly. Staff was good with area and helpful. Would stay again

This place is not worth the money, should be about a $39.00 hotel. Hair in the tub, towels worn out, bath mat was like a rag. Light in bathroom fan was burned out and filthy. The mirror around the jazzuzi tub was dirty also the tub, I think they need a toothbrush to clean it. The FREE breakfast was a joke. It was in the corner of a dirty bar. The walls are thin as paper, was woken up @ 5:20 am with someone talking in the next room. Never again!

Five key cards were made; none ever worked more than once. Manager called after checkout and accused my athsmatic wife of smoking in room. Then proceeded to call her a liar when she told her neither of us smoke. Don't stay here.

We are sorry you felt that we were rude. Our rooms are cleaned and checked each day and this room had definitely been smoked in. When you arrive and sign the registration, you initialed the smoking clause which means that you acknowledge and accept responsibility for what happens in that room. We do welcome our guests' pets as well. However, there is a pet fee and certain rooms are set aside for guests with pets. Please let us know at check in when traveling with your pets. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact me.

On a tight budget, My hubby and I had a great time at this hotel. The clerk was friendly and informative. It was cold but we got to go swimming in the indoor pool and enjoyed the whirlpool. The bed was pretty comfy. At night they had a live band playing and a bar which was cool. In the morning, you got to choose a decent breakfast in which was served to you. The waitresses and waiters were excellent. Thanks everyone for a fun time.!

we stood here for one night to go play at Treetops.

Was remarkably outdated(which isn't the worst thing because looks aren't everything in a cheap hotel) but the bed felt like it was 30 years old. Super stiff, slept horribly because of it.

Ironically, the guy running the front desk's main comment to us was how comfortable the beds were. In hindsight, i am wondering if he was being sarcastic.

I would stay somewhere else if we head back up there. The free breakfast sent you next door for scrambled eggs, 1 piece of toast, and 1 piece of sausage with some hash browns straight from the freezer bag. Would of been better off not eating.

I hate to leave poor reviews, but this stay was awful.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our property. I am sorry your recent stay did not met your expectations. We use guest feedback to make us aware of ways we can improve. We are an older property but we pride ourselves on our cleanliness and staff service. We are constantly making improvements and upgrades.

We have recently gone through a change with the ownership of the restaurant that provides our breakfast. We have been receiving many compliments about the service and food quality.

We hope that if you are in the area again you would give us another try.
