Fabulous spot to relax! I so enjoyed the ambiance and warmth! Great place for our family to gather as we celebrated my niece's wedding. --- Comfortable beds and lots of great coffee, two very important things!

Every time I pull out my wonderful Washington Street Inn mug, I smile remembering a fabulous time our family had there. We were celebrating my daughter's wedding November 17th at the Grand Hall downtown in GH, so wanted a place for family (10 people) to stay at that was close to the venue, and so we could be together. Michelle was so wonderful, gave us an affordable option for two nights during the off- season She was so hospitable, flexible and went above and beyond making our stay so enjoyable! Every room was so clean and the Inn was perfect as a place to "come home to" after the busy weekend events. I look forward to going back there someday! Our daughter's wedding was "vintage themed," so the place was perfect to set the mood and bask in that particular ambience! Thank you Michelle!

My husband and I stayed at the Washington Inn from Aug. 7-9, 2013 . We were greeted by Tony outside and then by his wife Michelle. They were immediately friendly and accomodating and we felt we made the right choice in choosing this B&B. Everything was perfect about our stay. The full breakfast were fabulous and the apple crisp was to die for. We will return to the Washington Inn again in the near future. Thank You. Rick and Sandy Soblo. Brownstown, Mi.

This inn is Circa 1902. Stayed for only one night. Innkeepers are lovely people and very accommodating. I felt like a guest in their home. Quaint, comfortable porch to sit and watch the world go by. Very good breakfast. Only item lacking was a morning newspaper.

Our group stayed in the two rooms that adjoin, with a shared bathroom between the rooms, which was ideal for our three adults and one teen, who are all related and compatible. This was our second stay and we couldn't have been happier. Tony and Michelle are attentive to details, they made us feel at home, the accommodations were well maintained, clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious, as well as varied each morning. Snacks and drinks are available 24/7 which helped during the hot weather we enjoyed there. Our rooms were air conditioned and already cool when we checked in. There was ample room to unpack and spread out with a closet for hanging clothes. Our group had a couple of special requests that were promptly attended to by our hosts and we were sad when the time came to check out. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Booked a 3 night weekend stay, traveling with hubby on business. (June 2013) I'll 'fess up and let you know that it was our first B & B experience in 30+ years of business travel, so we didn't know what to expect. The owners, Tony and Michelle, did not disappoint! They are warm, welcoming, and attentive to their guests needs from the moment you arrive (without being intrusive). You can tell they've love what they do, and have been doing it for many years.

The house is a tastefully appointed, well kept craftsman style from the early 1900s. (No "fru-fru frilly ruffles here!) The grounds around the building are well kept and the rose arbor was in beautifully in bloom. Did I mention CLEAN? Spotlessly clean, everywhere. Passed my "white glove - sniff test" right away! (Thank you, Michelle and Tony!) There is ample parking for guests, and they even made provisions for the large van and 18' cargo trailer we were traveling with.

We stayed in the Dornbros room (Largest, on first floor with private bath), and even though we were on the first floor (closer to possible street noise) it was quiet and very spacious. The linens and blankets were in newish condition, crisp and clean, and the bed and pillows just the right level of firmness. Our room had both an air conditioner and a ceiling fan for our personal choice of comfort level. The windows opened for the option of allowing the cool evening breeze to blow through the lace curtains. Ahhhh.....

Breakfast was indeed a treat! I'm a "foodie", and really appreciated the attention to detail, the different choices each morning, and the absolute freshness of everything served. Our breakfast was far and away better than anything I've ever been served in a 4 star hotel, and would qualify as gourmet by most standards, but still with the charm and intimacy you would hope for in a B & B setting. Delish!
Snacks, fresh coffee, tea, and ice cold water was out and readily available during all hours of our stay.

The Inn is located just blocks from the waterfront and downtown shops and eateries. Walking distance even for this ol' ample bodied baby boomer.

All in all, a delightful stay. We're already planning to book early for next year.
Other B & Bs are really going to have to step up to the plate after this one!
