We arrived late and were very tired from a long drive. When we got to the room, it was warm. We turned the AC on. It never seemed to really cool down. After about 30 min we noticed the temp in the room barely moved. We set the thermostat @ 67. It was almost midnight and decided to turn it down even lower. There also was not a door knob on the inside of the bathroom door. At this point we went to bed. I probably shd have called down to the office but were too tired. The area of the bldg was quiet and the room was clean and a bit outdated. The breakfast was so/ so, typical make your own waffles, juice, coffee, eggs and sausage. The sausage was almost gone and the man said he wld get more, never did. Like I said before it was an OK place but not worth the $$. I told them about the AC and door knob. They had no idea there wasn't a door knob on the bathroom door, a bit odd. Probably will find another hotel when visiting Michigan

After our plans changed drastically following a major storm in Muskegon, MI, we were able to get a room at the Grandvillage Inn. It was wonderful, though the hot tub could have been a bit hotter and the towels are a tad bit worn. Comfortable bed, quiet location, with entertainment and dining nearby. Price was reasonable. Safe parking. Can't ask for much more for an overnight stay.

I had an excellent visit when I stayed at the Grandvillage Inn. The person at the front desk, Zack, was very helpful, pleasant, and made my stay more enjoyable. He offered great restaurants, and fun things to do around Grand Rapids. I stayed for business, and the breakfast was delicious, and the staff would always replenish everything whenever food ran out. The breakfast time was during reasonable hours, 6-9 during the week, and 6:30-9:30 on the weekend. The hotel was very clean. The rooms had plenty of pillows, and blankets. If more blankets are needed, they have them on hand. I need some extra since I'm always cold :-P. The hotel is in a good location, in the center of downtown Grandville, and only 10 minutes away from downtown Grand Rapids.

Room Tip: The rooms around the pool area can get noising at night time since the pool closes at 11. If you want it to be more quiet, request a room that isn't next to the pool and spa area.

My family has stayed at the Grandvillage on two previous trips and enjoyed our stays very much. So much that we booked a 3rd time. Unfortunately, the third time was NOT a charm. The pool table, air hockey, and eliptical were all "out of order." When the front desk was informed, the reaction was similar to "oh,well." Sorry, to say there will not be a 4th stay. There was simply not enough working amenities to warrant the not inexpensive rate. And if you stay poolside, it will be LOUD in your room. You can here every word, shrill, and scream from the pool/game area. In the past, the area closed late in the evening but nor during our last stay. So if someone decides to swim and be rowdy, you will not sleep.

Room Tip: Don't stay poolside if you value quiet and sleep.
