Great place to stay and Downtown Holland has a wonderful variety of restaurants and shopping. My husband and I stay here whenever we visit our daughter at Hope College. The rooms are clean and the staff are exceptionally helpful.

This place has a pleasant staff and a great location for Hope College or downtown Holland. My room was large, and the bed comfortable. I appreciated the free breakfasts (with scrambled eggs on the weekend) and the friendly people who staffed the room. The gym is very small, but it had enough cardio equipment and free weights for my needs.

Our extended family live in Holland, so we've been going to Holland for over 25 years. Believe me, there is no better place to stay than the Haworth Inn. We've tried them all. The staff is especially helpful, the breakfast is wonderful and delicious, and coffee and fruit are available throughout the day. The location is ideal, located on the Hope College campus and a block from downtown. During the winters, which can be quite brutal, the downtown streets have termo heating, so no snow to contend with. A customer has access to the hotel's fitness center, Hope College's gym, or the fabulous Holland Aquatic Center.
The pricing is the best compared with other hotels in the area. Don't miss this gem of a city and this gem of a hotel

Room Tip: Select a room facing the front of the hotel, since the back view overlooks the roof.

I've stayed at this hotel for 3-4 times and have always had an enjoyable stay. The location is great: on campus of Hope College and one block from the sweet shopping/dining district of Holland. The Haworth has one of the best breakfasts with great variety (including "healthier" options) and the breakfast area is kept clean and well-stocked. The front desk staff is always helpful. We've never encountered any hallway noise while we've stayed there. The rooms are clean but the décor is rather typical of the 90's---not a big deal to us as we spend little time in the room while visiting the area.

Hope College hosted the Flying Dutch Women's Basketball Tournament December 13 and 14. Haworth Inn is on campus two blocks from the DeVos Fieldhouse. The three visiting teams stayed at the Inn. Even with three athletic teams in the building as well as a reception in the Ballroom the room was quiet. In addition to being on campus close to the games, the Inn is one block from 8th Street with many shops and restaurants. We attended the ballgames and walked to restaurants both evenings for great meals. On Saturday we walked down to the Farmers Market and Craft Show at the Civic Center. Seeing the Civic Center was worth the one dollar entry fee. It is a 1950's style gym right out of Hoosiers. The downtown shops offered a variety of wares and a vibrant downtown atmosphere. The sidewalks on 8th Street are heated and were clear of ice and snow after a heavy snowfall.
Staff at the Inn were very friendly. The room was nicely furnished. Great pressure in the shower, which is always a bonus. Gilchrist and Soames items in the bath. Local codes prohibit coffee makers in the rooms but fresh coffee was available 24/7 in the reception area. Breakfast included fruit, eggs, pigs in blankets, waffle maker, various breads and pastries. The staff kept the items stocked even with the three basketball teams eating breakfast. The Inn is very modern and comfortable. It was our first visit to Holland. As a result of our experience at Haworth, we plan to visit in the summer and stay at Haworth and shop the downtown merchants.
