Owner description: A visit to Nelis' Dutch Village is like a step back into the Netherlands of over 100 years ago on a day when a festival came to town. Demonstrations and performances; tastes, sight and sounds; and something to interest all ages. Unique shopping too.

A consult to the web site states the shops are open daytime in fall, however the truth being the only a few things are open, with several closed.

“Time of their lives”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

We took my three grandchildren here a few weeks ago and had a most wonderful time! Rachel got to pet a llama, walk a goat and hold a bunny. Alexandria got to play train engineer and eat delicious chocolate ice cream. Sarai raced a rubber duck and won! She went on the merry-go-round three times! The weather was perfect, the size of the village just right for the two-six year old age group we consist of, and we all had a wonderful time.

“Badly in need of refreshing”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

Was really looking forward to visiting this place as I thought a "Dutch Village" in Holland, Michigan would be a great place to visit. It is a poor representation and should be refreshed or closed. Even a coat of paint would help and new plantings. There were very few visitors. The one place to eat had more items that were marked "Sold Out" than they had for sale. Seems like it has much more potential than what is available. A history of the early Dutch influence to America would be a great addition and would appeal to adults. A nice restaurant with good fresh food would also be a draw. Have the restaurant open to the public, serve authentic upscale food, and you will have a bigger draw.

“Great fun for kids”
Reviewed 26 September 2013

Loved this little amusement park with a historical and cultural past. It is perfect for younger kids. So many simple fun activities- like a slide in a shoe, and walking goats on a leash. Food was good here and budget priced. The demonstrations were really good. We especially liked the dancing. Would definitely recommend it to families for summer fun. We were there on Labor day weekend and they even had fireworks.

“Great family attraction at very reasonable cost”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

Three generation family family attended. Grandma has bone cancer and grandpa recently had quadruple bypass. Grandkids are 3 and 1. It was a great experience. The attractions were lovely. It was easy to get around, not too crowded (on weekday in July), and a great bargain
