Here's your chance to see a real, working windmill without leaving the Midwest. The windmill was brought over from Europe in pieces, reassembled here and actually grinds grain. During spring, summer and fall, you can go into the windmill. The entire area looks like it came right out of Europe. The gardens are lovely. It seemed a little pricey (I think we paid around $15 entry). Off-season, from mid-October to mid-April, you can still view it from outside, but the rest of the area is not open.
