We stayed the weekend at this hotel and it was great. The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a memorial service luncheon for 46 people and the food and service were wonderful. I would recommend it highly. The new management and rennovations made a big difference for the better.

Room Tip: The view is great on the lakeside.

I wanted to get the family for one night of fun Which turned into a night we will never forget Check in was slow rooms were just getting cleaned at checkin time@3 The pool area has no fresh towels and when you ask the front desk the will tell you in about 15 mins but when you go back still no towels Your feet get cut in the waterslide area from grates below my grandchild was almost hit in head from flying balls little children in the hot tube clearly marked for adults. Then we had loud people next to are room tried to use phone in rooms to call front desk but they didnt work had to use my cell Mind you still 4 in morning with loud
My family is useally up at 8 for breakfast but with no sleep we missed breakfast that ended at nine with no food I stepped outside for a last look at the lake when above im getting spit on My family packed and was ready after my shower I informed the front desk of all that has happened and I was told I would recieve a phone call from manager but its been days with no response back and no one seems to be there when you call wanting to speak to someone in charge I would rather stay in a tent then this place again I cant believe that the wont return a call back It seems like they would like to have more good reports then bad They lost my respect and my company that all bring to them with all seasons there I will not suggest this to any of my snowmobile crews ice fishing or bud bashers

Room Tip: Go to another hotel

My family and I stayed at this property about 6 years ago and remembered it being clean, and enjoying ourselves so I was quick to book it again this past weekend. I almost always stay at Comfort Suites because they are usually a high quality property. Wow, all I can say is that a lot has changed since we stayed before!! First off we didnt arrive at the hotel till after dark and when we pulled in there were a few cars with people in them just sitting by the front entrance. When we came into the lobby, which was clean and nicely decorated, we waited for a few minutes for a front desk clerk, none was to be found. Well apparently thats because she was out in one of the cars smoking and must have seen us pull in but still took her time coming to the front desk. She was friendly once she got in, just would have appreciated a little quicker service since we had been driving all day. We got into our room and took the kids to the pool for a little bit before bed. The pool area is awful. The walls and ceiling look filthy and almost moldy and there were about 9 kids in there going crazy, all going down the slide at once, then climbing back up and stopping midway, blocking the slide. I just told my daughter we would come back in the morning maybe. Ok, then we get back to the room and pull back the covers to go to bed and the entire bed and all the bedding is covered and i mean COVERED in black hair, apparently this is a dog friendly hotel. Fine, but if you have a dog in a room, pull the bedding and wash it!!!! At this point we were almost ready to leave and get another hotel. my husband ended up going and getting all new bedding, so we got to completely remake the bed before we could go to sleep. All in all it was definitely NOT worth over a $100 for the room and we will definitely NOT be staying here again.

All of our family stayed here the begining of February for a night. We had seven rooms booked. The woman at the front desk was obviously not trained very well. The manager was there, but never stepped in. Took 20 minutes to get our room key. We had reservations at the resturant on-site. That was the worst experience I ever had. From start to finish the food took 2 1/2 hours and was not very good. Again the manager was there and never came out till the end. They did discount our meals, but by that time, it really did not matter. Continental breakfast the next morning was very busy. The could not keep up. People still waiting to eat, but they closed it at the recommended time anyway. Room was ok. I did not see to much wrong. Was some rips in the carpet. Did not spend to much time in there. Lobby and hallways need some maintanince. The ice machine area had water on the floor all eventing. No be careful sign or anyone to to clean it up. I did not go to the pool area.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, mainly because it overlooks the lake and sunrise is quite nice. On my most recent trip, the sign over the door said it was under new management but everything seemed pretty much the same as before. There is something about this place that bothers me yet I cannot put my finger on it. The rooms are nice, mine was clean and I had no complaints. I like to sleep with the curtains open to the balcony but find it annoying that there does not seem to be any way to turn off the balcony lights. The breakfast is notable for its redundancy. The staff obviously likes to watch cartoons in the early morning. Normally I will not eat in a restaurant attached to a hotel but seem to give the one here a whirl each time I am there.. always a disappointment but I will discuss that elsewhere. I decided on my last trip that I had given this place enough chances... I will be going elsewhere in the future.
